Pablo, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Talk to us about building your team? What was it like? What were some of the key challenges and what was your process like?
23 years ago, I was very much a solopreneur at the start—just me, my pc, and a handful of client projects. In 2014, when I launched what would become Revved Mode today, I was still refining our core AI/RPA processes (that later birthed Adiv AI) and juggling everything from strategy calls to coding and campaign design.
By 2021, as our AI and RPA offerings matured, it became clear I needed a core team. In 2022 I was thrilled when my daughter, Carlie, joined Revved Mode. Carlie brought fresh energy and a knack for social media strategy, helping us refine our processes and scale faster. Training her wasn’t traditional: we co-created playbooks, ran internal hackathons, and constantly iterated our workflows as new AI tools emerged.
Today, our hiring still favors curiosity over credentials. Whether it’s hosting coding sprints for prospective developers or live “mock campaign” presentations for marketers, we create hands-on challenges to see candidates in action. If I were starting over, I’d formalize that process sooner—building structured learning paths and clear milestones from Day One—to help every new hire ramp up even faster.
Looking back, those lean, scrappy days taught me more about leadership than any MBA ever could. And having Carlie on board has transformed us into the agile, family-driven powerhouse we are today.

I’ve been immersed in the tech world since 1995, when I built and launched my first website for the company I worked for at the time as Director of Advertising, DavisWarshow.com. From that moment on, I was hooked on the power of the web to transform businesses. Over the next two decades, I founded and exited multiple ventures—from VirtualMuscle.com (acquired by Vitamin World) to Supplies2k (sold to Patco Group) and Fusion Creative Studios, where we built the first real-time weather engine for mobile games and the pioneering Plastic Surgery app for iPhone.

A Test of Grit: The Birth of Adiv AI
In 2015, I was deep into SEO consulting when I spotted a recurring challenge: clients were losing leads the moment a prospect hit “Submit,” often late at night or over weekends. I envisioned an always-on virtual sales rep—what would become Adiv AI—but turning that vision into reality was anything but smooth.
The First Setback: My initial prototype used basic chatbot frameworks. During a live demo for a prospect in the aerial-lift industry, Adiv repeatedly misunderstood simple questions, frustrating everyone in the room. I could feel the founder’s confidence slipping—and with it, my own.
Doubling Down: Rather than abandon the project, I treated the failure as a data point. I spent the next 10 years rebuilding and retraining Adiv on real LLMs, layering in Google’s DeepL and OpenAI for natural-language nuance, and hand-crafting hundreds of user-flows. I even recruited friends to role-play as stubborn prospects, logging every misstep.
The Lesson in Resilience: Building Adiv taught me that real innovation demands relentless iteration—and the courage to face harsh feedback head-on. Today, Adiv powers lead generation for dozens of clients, but it wouldn’t exist without that initial stumble and the resilience to keep refining until it worked.

Has your business ever had a near-death moment? Would you mind sharing the story?
Running a business isn’t for the faint of heart—you need vision, empathy, and the grit to learn from every misstep. One of our toughest tests came during COVID. With an empty office and fixed overheads, revenues plummeted overnight. I remember staring at the bank balance, wondering how I was going to pay bills month after month since I was not approved for a PPP loan.
Rather than fold, I took a hard look at our offerings and reinvented Revved Mode around fully remote, AI-powered lead-gen services. We cut non-essentials, hustled new clients, and doubled down on automation to deliver clients measurable results faster.
That pivot not only saved me from bankruptcy but set the foundation for steady growth. Today, we’re an eight-member team—and every paycheck we run is a reminder that resilience, adaptability, and never taking anything for granted are the real cornerstones of our success. Amid current international trade headwinds and tariff pressures, many clients are absorbing added costs instead of passing them to consumers—which often means trimming marketing spend. The next six months will be critical as businesses recalibrate, but we’re not standing still.
