We recently connected with P-wig Jones and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, P-Wig thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
I’d like to share with you a risk I took recently that’s been a game-changer for me. As an artist, I’ve always been passionate about creating music that inspires and uplifts others. But I knew that to take my music to the next level, I needed to think outside the box.
So, I decided to take a risk and invest in releasing my music on vinyl. It was a big undertaking, but I believed in my music and I was determined to share it with the world in a unique and special way.
The backstory is that I’ve been working tirelessly to create music that resonates with my audience. I’ve been performing at local venues, engaging with my fans on social media, and collaborating with other artists to build my network.
But I knew that to really make a splash, I needed to create something tangible that my fans could hold onto. That’s where the vinyl record came in. I partnered with a local record label to produce a limited edition vinyl record, complete with exclusive artwork and a special message to my fans.
It was a big risk, financially and creatively, but it’s one that’s paid off in a huge way. The response to the vinyl record has been overwhelming, with fans snapping up copies and sharing photos of themselves listening to the record on social media.
But that’s not all – the success of the vinyl record has also led to opportunities for me to partner with big brands like Melinda’s Foods, who are supporting my music and my mission to give back to the community. In fact, Melinda’s Foods recently made a generous donation to the North Texas Food Bank, and I’m proud to be associated with a brand that shares my values.
In addition to the vinyl record, I’ve also been working on a CD release, which will feature some exclusive tracks and remixes. And, I’m excited to announce that I’ll be partnering with some amazing non-profits this holiday season, including Toys for Tots.
But the cherry on top is that my music has also caught the attention of Billboard Magazine, who will be featuring me in an upcoming review. It’s an incredible honor, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my music with an even wider audience.
So, to answer your question, taking the risk to release my music on vinyl has been a game-changer for me. It’s allowed me to connect with my fans in a deeper way, partner with amazing brands and non-profits, and share my music with the world in a unique and special way.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
As a musician, entrepreneur, and creative visionary, I’ve always been driven by a passion for music, art, and community. Growing up, I was heavily influenced by a wide range of genres, from rock to hip-hop to electronic music. This eclectic taste in music helped shape my unique sound and style, which blends elements of different genres to create something entirely new and original.
I got into the music industry through a combination of hard work, determination, and a bit of luck. I started performing at local venues and events, honing my craft and building a loyal following. As my music gained traction, I began to explore new ways to share my art with the world, including releasing music on vinyl, partnering with brands and non-profits, and engaging with my fans through social media.
Through my music and brand, I provide a unique blend of entertainment, inspiration, and community engagement. My products and services include music releases (vinyl, CD, digital), live performances, merchandise, and exclusive content for my fans. I’m proud to partner with brands like Melinda’s Foods, who share my values and commitment to giving back to the community.
What sets me apart from others in the music industry is my commitment to creating music that inspires and uplifts others. I believe that music has the power to bring people together, to heal and to transform. Through my music and brand, I aim to spread positivity, hope, and joy to my fans and community.
I’m most proud of the impact that my music has had on my fans and community. I’ve received countless messages and testimonials from people who have been inspired, comforted, or motivated by my music. This means the world to me, and it’s what drives me to keep creating and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
For potential clients, followers, and fans, I want to share the following:
– My music is a reflection of my passion, creativity, and commitment to inspiring others.
– I’m dedicated to building a community that’s supportive, inclusive, and empowering.
– I believe in the power of collaboration and partnership, and I’m always looking for new opportunities to work with like-minded brands and individuals.
– I’m excited to share my new music, including my vinyl record release, CD release, and upcoming singles.
– I’m committed to giving back to the community, and I’m proud to partner with non-profits like Toys for Tots and brands like Melinda’s Foods that share my values.
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me and my brand!

We’d love to hear your thoughts on NFTs. (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
NFTs are a relatively new concept to me, and I haven’t explored them in my own work. As an artist, I’ve been more focused on traditional music releases and merchandise. While I see the potential for NFTs to disrupt the music industry, I’m still learning about their applications and benefits.

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
Looking back, I wish I had known more about the importance of building a strong online presence and networking within the industry. Resources like Music Business Worldwide, Billboard, and other music industry publications would have been incredibly valuable to me early on.
Additionally, I wish I had known more about the various platforms and tools available to independent artists, such as DistroKid, CD Baby, and other music distribution services.
But most importantly, I wish I had known the value of building a strong team and support system. Having a good manager, publicist, and other industry professionals in your corner can make all the difference in the world.
