We recently connected with P. Louie and have shared our conversation below.
P., looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Are you able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen?
I am not at the point of creating music for a living yet. If I keep consistently making music and videos, especially for the vertical video apps, then I wi get to that point. Creative burnout and writer’s block is real and it’s always nice to take a little break but don’t get too comfortable.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Growing up, I always enjoyed being creative. Especially when it comes to music and videos, it’s so dope to be able to create something from nothing. I mainly make music, but I also do public pranks as well gaming videos on stream. It’s nice to be able to connect with everyone and show people who I am and it’s awesome seeing people enjoy the content that you create!
In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
SUPPORT THEM! Share a post, buy a tee, make a video to one of their songs. Don’t be afraid to support an artist that not everyone knows yet. You will look super cool in the future I promise.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Being able to consume what you created. Just like a chef tasting a meal they cooked up, there’s nothing more satisfying than hopping in the car and listening to your song back for the first time. You gotta be your biggest fan! There’s A LOT of people in this world so if you like it, other people will. You just have to find the right audience.
