O’Tavais, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
To briefly walk you through my story, at the age of 8, I knew in my heart I wanted to be the boss of my own company. I began to focus on learning the business ropes and how to be successful. So unlike kids my age, who wanted to be doctors, lawyers, and police, I wanted to be “Bill Gates.” I started my company with one goal in mind, and that was to help people achieve their goals by providing my expertise and guidance
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I attended Emerald Charter Schools in Knoxville TN for middle school, and when I was in the sixth grade a friend and I started our own college and career club even then I knew I wanted to be a CEO,and help people
Did students my age know who Bill Gates was? NO. By the age of 12, I started to think of the names of my company and thinking what my capabilities would be when operating my business. I desired to help people. I wasn’t sure how I would help others, but I knew my heart’s desire. I was 15 years old, and one rainy afternoon, the brainstorm hit, OT’s Business Consulting was the name.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Many people may think Facebook is too old or for old people, but for me finding clients is always on Facebook . I used Facebook like crazy to promote and find new clients. Also to find new clients I use the word-of-mouth marketing strategy to gain new clients
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
When I started OT’s Business Consulting I had one goal in mind and that was to build a reputable brand that you can trust for all your needs. I believe the saying “your network determines your net worth” is true because if you are constantly networking with others in different industries your company is going to grow . The most effective strategy that I found to gain clients is networking, finding your niche, and marketing above your limits(Passing out brochures or business cards)
