We caught up with the brilliant and insightful O’Shane Ellis a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
O’Shane, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Parents play a huge role in our development as youngsters and sometimes that impact follows us into adulthood and into our lives and careers. Looking back, what’s something you think you parents did right?
My mother instilled self discipline, hard work, commitment and high performance in me and my siblings from a tender age. Growing up I’ve always seen her work long and hard to achieve high results in all her jobs. She has always been an over achiever in everything she does. When I was younger all I could remember is seeing my mother working long hours very hard and being very meticulous with her ways of working and results. I remember some evenings after school I would go to her place of work and would help her to check off cash or balance her books and I would sit and listen to the conversations being had with the other employees or vendors.
This made me want to become a Businessman having seen my Mother over the years. Without knowing it she has taught me the importance of being disciplined and having high work ethics.
O’Shane, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am O’Shane Ellis, CEO and Founder of The Entity JA, full service Events & Entertainment solution company for the Hospitality & Tourism industry in Jamaica and across the Caribbean.
We take pride in owning the task from concept to execution to ensure every element is designed, aligned and has exceeded the clients’ expectation.
The Entity Ja, was established in 2011 by O’Shane Ellis our Founder & CEO with the desire to create exceptional and over-the-top experiential entertainment.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
We keep in contact with our clients through various mediums i.e. Social Media, Newsletter, our Booking system that also does a CRM follow up to our clients. We foster Brand loyalty by ensuring when clients book with The Entity JA they trust that they will receive value and uniqueness in our offerings.
So we are always keen on the various trends in the Industry and ensure that every booking is handled with care and we are constantly guided by our CORE Values, which are Integrity – Diversity – Customer Experience – Fun – Innovation
