We were lucky to catch up with Osa Ogbebor recently and have shared our conversation below.
Osa, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.
One thing my parents do right that still has an impact on my life is constantly praying for me. My mother always tells me stories of how her and my father would pray for me while I was in my mothers woom. Up until I was born, my parents struggled with naming me. But as soon I was born an placed into my fathers hands, he named me. “What God has for me is for me” Personally, I interpret that as destiny.I think about that story as I strive to accomplish my goals, as I know my parents have high aspirations for me.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers?
My name is Osawaru Ogbebor, the handsome host of “The Double O Show with Osawaru Ogbebor” I’m 23 years old residing in Baltimore, Maryland. Formally I was co-host of her podcast and I fell in love ever since. The purpose of my show is to encourage, inspire and motivate my friends, family and potentially my community to step out on faith, instead of fear. What sets me apart is my dedication to uplift one’s spirits. What I want potential followers to know is I can’t wait to keep climbing with you!
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being creative?
The most rewarding thing about being a creative for me is the feedback, good and bad. It lets me know that even if people may disagree, their still watching . I was still able to reach you and potentially make an impact on your life, whether it’s immediate or make take some time.
Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
Non-creatives won’t understand the passion, I believe. To have a strong love/hate relationship with something you want to last forever will always be a constant battle. Some days you want to give up, not knowing if you really made the right choice, and other days you wish you started this sooner. Another is the vision. Every creative has an end goal, and unless you’re the creator themselves, you won’t really see the full picture. So try to take time to understand the art.
