We were lucky to catch up with Orlando Jose Perches recently and have shared our conversation below.
Orlando Jose, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We believe kindness is contagious and so we’d love for you to share with us and our audience about the kindest thing anyone has ever done for you?
The kindest thing anyone has ever done for myself was having a beautiful human believe in my project before I could ever see what it was worth. Back in September of 2022 i had just moved to Denver after living a period of time on the west coast persuing my music career. As i was still in the midst of progress within my brand i still wasnt where i wanted to be in my journey. It wasnt until i met my current business partner and significant other Julia Betts that life took a turn for the best. We both begun to learn each other understand our potential as a team together. Julia saw not only what i could do, believed in me so much she guided and invested into me all the resources she had to offer to help elevate to the next level as artist. This included business guidance, financial advisory, and emotional support. This meant to me because it took one person who believed in me when I couldn’t in myself and my world was brought to life with manifestations coming to Floracion. Believing in something you cant see and seeing it coming to life is truly one of the most humbling experiences of my lifetime. Truly a grace given by the universe.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
To start I begun the EDM (Electronic Dance Music) Industry because due to a brutal accident my athletic career in basketball was cut short. My first time experiencing a Rave or festival was in 2019 fresh graduating college with my psychology degree. The experience was breath taking, lights, lasers, fashion, Utopia of ones imagination. My first experience was in Las Vegas, Nevada attending a festival called EDC LV. 3 days in the magical world I fell in love with everything about the culture. Not too long after the trip is where the accident to place in the near future. left me in crutches for months unable to participate going anywhere other than my room. There is where I found my current passion of music production/ djing. I am now an upcoming artist in United States looking to make major waves in the genre known as dubstep. The creative visuals and sounds I look to provide are enemies of light and dark, blending both sides to create a heavy bass experience. what sets me apart from other artist is the ability to overcome obstacles through my career thus far, its been a journey of overwhelming emotions through the industry. “I am proud of what I stand for which is to fight the darkest things of life with love, light and harmonic passion”. To remind the world the anything Is possible through work ethic and determination. I am grateful for many things such as God, my family, management, my team, my fans and anyone who has given me the time to hear my art. It Is truly an honor to spread love and heal Gods children with music. Music is my outlet my escape from a world at time that’s colder then most can imagine. Music has given me a space of comfort and peace from the noise and distraction the world abruptly enter through day to day life. I want my potential followers to know I’m here to provide healing loving, and abundance of chaotic joyful sounds to exfoliate the human mind of serotonin. My artist Name of Prince Asmo.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
My first show ever was in 2021. I received a call to perform at the show to hit the state after covid. I accepted the challenge but found many obstacles. I had to learn the equipment, how to create stage presence, to create an identity within my brand. With only 2 weeks to prepare I spent massive amounts of hours preparing for the show which ended up being on of the biggest shows of my career. With Blood, sweat and tears anything is possible, but most importantly having resilience to overcome any obstacle presented. you never know when the next risk you take could be the ticket to your next passion.
We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
I found my current business partner JB owner of The Wooks’ Nook who whole heartedly has been one of the best influences to my musical career. We met at an EDM event in Colorado Springs. It was just there. sparks flew and our friendship began, years later we merged together to help generate higher possibilities to achieve our dreams as well as live them out together.
