We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Oriana Paola Ramirez a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Oriana Paola, appreciate you joining us today. What was the most important lesson/experience you had in a job that has helped you in your creative career?
Throughout our life, we start getting all kinds and types of jobs, to fulfill many purposes: generating an income for our livelihood, creating savings for a dream trip, to support our education, and so much more… The reasons are endless. But what I have found irrevocably truth to my core it’s that previous and current jobs can truly be the backbone to our legacy of love in some shape of form during this lifetime… Because they literally shape us for our highest future.
The jobs that we have throughout our life nourish skills that will pave our future and these skills will support what we came here to create as an offering to this world.
Once upon a time, I heard someone saying to a friend: “You wasted all that time pursuing that creative career, instead of just getting a job with your Bachelor’s degree.” It made sense rationally, the creative career hadn’t yet paid the bills for my friend… Yet, the jobs that were necessary to make and fulfill this creative career path… MADE the entire difference, because my friend truly ended up in the clouds in the best way possible financially and professionally by following it’s own path.
In conclusion, every job (no matter the type) will teach you something. Personally, I choose to allow the lessons to perspire into my present live.
Main lesson from a previous job: Dare to see through other people’s agendas, expectations and needs… So you can feel into and take action towards your highest path.
Oriana Paola, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I dare to say that my story it’s very strange yet common amongst creatives, artists and entrepreneurs: I studied something in college that created a steady pathway for my future… But I still chose to go into the world and explore other possibilities that were there for me. Within that spectrum of possibilities, I explored and dove deep into performing arts, discovered new ways in how to explore my college degree with the current times (writing for blogs and independently) and found a love for service through spirituality and esoteric teachings/tools… I truly saw how my own healing journey could support others. I’m currently allowing myself to bring these aspects of my expertise, talents and desires to come together without excluding them.
From embodying more of my artistic side with writing: I self-published two books via Amazon in the past. Attending castings and booking commercials. Writing articles as a freelance. To nourishing my coaching practice and business Sol Sun of Love.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
You get to recreate yourself as many times as needed. Lavandaire on YouTube always says: “Life it’s an art, make it your masterpiece”. Our career paths doesn’t need to be concrete… They get to be fun, pleasurable and prosperous in the immensity of these new times.
Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
YES. To see a different blueprint of what life can and could be it’s priceless… Because it gives you hope, but it also awakens something very raw and fiery in you. For me it was the book “The Sophia Code”. A must read, it truly is a love letter to humanity.
