Optimistic , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.

My parents made sure that I kept the most high God in my life and they always reminded me that I can not achieve nothing in life without him being the center of my actions.

My parents also keeps it 100 with me and instills knowledge into my brain and many life lessons. That’s why I can balance the dualities of good and bad why not being afraid to push boundaries through my art. Everything I do is artistic, but I want to expose truth through my philosophies of art.

My parents done right by educating and protecting and young black king to pass on his knowledge to his children.

Optimistic , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

My name is Orend Johnson Jr, better known as Optimistic Gangsta. I’m 22 years old and I am a music artist/song-writer out of Houston, Texas. I’ve been making music for 10 years and sold 17 million records globally through my label imprint, O.Johnson Enterprise and I am most proud to be able to do what I love which is music.

I’m not in the business of clients anymore. I am taking a break from the music business. However, I still plan on being involved in music or any form of entertainment behind the scenes.

Currently, I will not provide services, if someone needs a verse or a songwriting, I will do it for free as long as I get my fair share of publishing splits.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect to being an artists, is knowing you have the ability to save lives and change lives through your talents.

I spoke to many people from across the world through social media and I remember one person named Sam, told me that, my music has saved her from committing you know what and she motivated me to keep pushing and never change because people are listening to what I have to say and it made me cry to be honest. I remember I cried in the kitchen reading the message to my mom that night because at the time it was 2018, I was trending at the time and I was recieving a lot of dms from random people and a lot of hate messages too but I’m glad I didn’t ignore that message because she reminded me to never let me lose myself and I love you for that Sam.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

My only mission is my only ambition, and that’s to help spark the minds of the youth to create a better future for themselves and their children. That’s my only mission.
