Founded in 2018, Orlando Boom Women’s Basketball is owned by an innovative & accomplished serial entrepreneur, Ontavius McCullough. With over 17 years of sports development and operational experience, Ontavius is also the owner of a thriving international broadcasting network, Daily Faith Network which was founded in March 2023.

Ontavius is often described as a Visionary, Mentor, Motivational Speaker, Life Coach, & Loyal Friend.

Creating the “Boom Experience” includes the planning, development, and operation of institutional sports camps throughout Central Florida. Boom’s community outreach programs include local churches, food pantries, businesses and so much more.

Ontavius has a vision not only to “Boom” our local neighborhoods and communities, but our region and state.

In Ontavius’ entrepreneurial pursuits, he has connected himself to unique opportunities. “Learning is half the fun of doing and keeps your mind sharp and your skills fresh.”

Any advice for managing a team?

Within Boom, we communicate often. It’s important to consider that people make the brand. It’s not a “one-man” show. We have group chats and frequent calls just to check in on a personal level. Life can be overwhelming. Everyone needs a safe space to share and express life’s moments.

Providing growth opportunities within a company is essential. Encouraging others around you to learn new skills and practice their craft can only enhance the culture.

We have a motto we live by in Orlando Boom. “We Build People.”
