We caught up with the brilliant and insightful OneLove Young a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

OneLove , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?

I had just gotten my license suspended and wrongfully accused of a DUI in 2020. Spent the night in Jail and the following weeks was God pouring into me a vision for everything I was doing up to that point. Love Village Records was imparted onto me through my mind from God. As I sat back and asked myself why would so many people help me, listen to my music, or care what I have to say. At that point I knew it was God showing his love for me through others. That what I was building was for HIS kingdom and not for selfish gain. The unselfishness that the folks who helped me get to where I am today are a true Village. Filled with the unconditional Love that God imparts on each one of us. At that point I thought, “It takes a Village to raise Love!” Just as I thought about the saying, “It takes a Village to raise a child”. I am that child who was raised out of trauma and perseverance. Without God’s love manifesting through others my music and overall being wouldn’t be here today! Love Village Records is an idea and brand formed and forged in Faith and Godly ideals.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Here at Love Village Records, we strive to be the change we and you want to see! From Music, to Live Shows/Concerts, to how we carry ourselves as human beings. We only wanna provide uplifting and positive experiences and energy through all we do. Just like within any industry that has toxic and harmful products or corporations attached; we strive to be the total opposite for our customers, fans and supporters! Providing a community and family friendly environment!

How did you build your audience on social media?

Being a genuine and authentic person. Nobody wants to follow someone or something that’s already existing. Humans will always want the newest hottest thing. You just have to be YOURSELF and the YOUR following will come! Also as an Artist when you make good Music it’ll all fall into place. Focus on making good music FIRST.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

Going through that false DUI case and making a song called Not Guilty freestyle while going through it. Everyone thought I was done for and was nervous for me. Friends, peers and even my mom and gf at the time thought I was going down. My faith never wavered. I knew I was innocent. God knew I was innocent. I didn’t care what the court said. I put out the song on a Project in 2020 called, Something To Quarantine To, standing on my faith and innocence. I ended up winning the case, getting license back and was successful in standing up to their crooked system.
