One of the biggest things that sets us apart from the typical roofing company is how we treat every project like a high stakes investment, not just a job. Most roofers show up, give a quote, and disappear. We’re hands on from start to finish, with a full team of experienced professionals including well trained project managers, foremen, and supervisors, ensuring the job gets done right the first time.
Where many companies underbid just to win the deal and then cut corners with cheap labor or materials, we take the opposite route: premium materials only, top tier crews with 10–20+ years of experience, and a customer service experience that actually feels high end. We don’t just aim to finish jobs, we aim to earn five star reviews, referrals, and lifelong trust.
There have been times I’ve walked away from deals because the job didn’t align with our standards or the client’s expectations weren’t realistic. I’d rather protect my brand than compromise our values. That’s not the norm in this industry, but it’s exactly why Kayhan’s Roofing stands out.


Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m Omid, founder of Kayhan Roofing in Los Angeles. I didn’t grow up in roofing. I built my way into it through pure hustle, ambition, and a drive to create something better than what I saw in the industry. I’ve always been focused on quality, results, and doing business the right way. When I entered this space, I noticed how many companies cut corners, lacked leadership, or treated clients like just another number. That’s when I saw the opportunity to raise the bar.
Kayhan Roofing specializes in full roof replacements, flat roofs, shingles, tile, and coatings. We only use premium materials and work with certified crews who have 10 to 20 years of experience. We’re not the cheapest, and we don’t aim to be. We aim to be the most trusted and the most respected.
What makes us different is how we run the operation. I’ve built a team of well-trained project managers, foremen, and supervisors who manage each job with precision and care. But I still stay involved in key decisions to protect our reputation and make sure the client experience feels smooth, high-end, and personal. Most companies disappear after getting the deposit. We stay accountable from start to finish, and that’s why we keep getting referrals and repeat business.
I started this company from scratch. Every job matters to me. My goal is to build a brand people trust and talk about, and to be known as the gold standard in roofing.


Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Starting Kayhan Roofing was one of the hardest and most defining moves of my life. I had previously been a partner in another roofing business, and after a long stretch of carrying the weight on my own, I walked away from everything I helped build. I had to start completely over. No team. No leads. No funding. Just my name and work ethic.
The first few months were brutal. I was doing everything myself. Selling. Estimating. Managing crews. Ordering materials. I had to rebuild my network from scratch while trying to make payroll, stay profitable, and still deliver top-tier service. There were days I was running on almost no sleep, trying to push through doubt and stress. But I knew if I stayed consistent and delivered the highest quality work, I’d build something stronger.
Now I look back and realize that season forced me to level up. It built a fire in me that still burns today. That’s the reason Kayhan Roofing is respected now. We didn’t get here through shortcuts. We got here by refusing to quit, no matter what was thrown at us.


Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most powerful strategy by far has been delivering work that people can’t stop talking about. Word of mouth has grown my business faster than any ad campaign. When clients feel like they got premium value, expert guidance, and a team that actually cares, they become loyal promoters.
We also built a smooth process. From the first call to the final inspection, people feel like they’re dealing with a sharp, professional, and dialed-in team. I make sure every job gets overseen by experienced project managers and foremen. That structure creates trust and leads to referrals.
I also stay active online and post our work consistently. We’re not trying to look like a big corporate company. We just show who we are and the quality we bring. That honesty plus results has built a solid reputation.
