We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Omega Smalls a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Omega, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start on the operational side – do you spend more of your time/focus/energy on growing revenue or cutting costs?
That is a great question! To begin, I’m aware of the importance of growing overall revenue versus focusing on cutting cost & I’m an advocate for increasing sales to afford business costs. However, I am a very strong advocate for fluency, consolidation, & efficiency. Meaning, I believe the tools, software, & databases used to run a business should be well below a companies financial means & allow the business to run in a minimalistic yet efficient way. Nonetheless, this is my general opinion. Everyone has unique ways they like to run their business.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
To simplify who I am & what I do, I am a multi-business owner and investor. I own two companies, the first is Olé Studios (a photography company), & the 2nd is For The Record (a music publishing company).
Within the company Olé Studios, I assist & offer resources toward producing work for clients from a variety of backgrounds whether they are artists, small families, or even business-owners themselves.
Within the company For The Record, I invest in & assist musicians (primarily) with publishing & marketing their music to a wider audience.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Generally, my reputation was built by consistently delivering results, maintaining strong relationships, & developing a unique brand image. I also believe my personality & person-ability is a huge reason for my success.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
Yes, forever & always “Feeling is The Secret” by Neville Goddard. Consciously, this book is what you need if you wish to redesign your reality – to be brief.
