We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Olympia. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Olympia below.
Alright, Olympia thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Have you been able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen? Was it like that from day one? If not, what were some of the major steps and milestones and do you think you could have sped up the process somehow knowing what you know now?
I wouldn’t say I’ve reached a full-time income from my creative work just yet, and I think it’s important to be transparent about that. Social media has definitely opened doors and created space for me to earn a strong supplemental income, and I’m grateful for the opportunities that continue to come by way! My creativity has given me the flexibility to try new things, explore creative ideas, and connect with people in ways I couldn’t before… I absolutely love it!
-That said, I don’t rely on it completely as a source of income—it’s more of a passion that continues to grow alongside my other work. Knowing what I know now, the most important thing is consistency. Showing up every day, even in small ways, is one of the best things you can do for your community and your growth.
And honestly, it’s supposed to be fun! When you show up with joy, people feel that energy—and that’s what keeps them coming back.

Olympia, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I started my page @_mymixedfeelings_, in 2021 and it’s been such an amazing journey. One of the things I treasure most is my day-one followers—those who’ve supported me from the very beginning. It truly feels like a little community that’s grown with me. Over the years, I’ve taken a few breaks and explored other projects, and I also work full-time as a teacher, but this page has remained a consistent creative outlet for me. I’m really proud of its longevity and how it continues to evolve.
On my page, I share uplifting, inspirational content—think little reminders to breathe, stay motivated, and enjoy the small moments. I try to bring a warm, girlfriend-style vibe that’s relatable, encouraging, and a little playful! One of my favorite things is seeing my posts shared by others, and just the other day I actually discovered several of my post on Pinterest! It’s such a joy to see my work pop up in unexpected places and connect with people in different ways.
At the heart of it, I love spreading small moments of joy and inspiration—and yes, maybe sneaking in a pink Post-it note or two to brighten someone’s day.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My mission is really centered around women and girls. I wanted to create a space where we can be soft, pretty, and affirming—a little corner of positivity just for us. Of course, I love welcoming anyone and everyone who wants to visit and support my page, but at my core, I’m a girls’ girl. I want my followers to know that I see them, I support them, and I’m cheering them on every step of the way.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding part of being a creative is the connection. The comments, the messages, the engagement, and the support—it’s all such beautiful energy. Knowing that something I’ve created can brighten someone’s day, make them feel seen, or inspire them in even a small way is incredibly fulfilling. That exchange of positivity is what keeps me showing up and creating every single day.
And honestly, I love that little moment when I scroll through and see someone sharing one of my posts—it just makes my day!
