Alright, Oluwatoyin thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you recount a story of an unexpected problem you’ve faced along the way?
Branding! Creating a brand that already had existing presence was difficult to navigate.
We wanted to be different. Authentic and pure.
We sought out the beans and we were sure it was going to break into the already coffee market.
Truth is, coffee is a universal beverage. Creating Kilimanjava was not an easy task because we were ploughing an existing market where any regular coffee beans would still be okay.

KilimanJava is a minority, women owned premium coffee company. We are born out of necessity and enthusiastic love for coffee. We carefully select our farmers with fair trade opportunities, sourcing our coffees from small farms grown in high altitude regions (Mount Kilimanjaro). Greatly reducing the need for pesticides with densely populated forests and coffee crops grown in the shade of banana trees (increasing biodiversity). from the prestigious Mount Kilimanjaro, Hence our name. Founded in 2020, we are a start up company and pride ourselves in packging 100% organic arabica beans For wholesale and retail purposes. KilimanJava is Owned by native West African woman, Oluwatoyin Adetunji, a healthcare professional, a mother and a lover of coffee.
We are meticulous about our bean sourcing and roasting and we partner with growers who are in quality coffee for the long haul – those who care for their land in order to provide for their families long-term.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Connecting with coffees lovers, casual coffee lovers and enthusiasts allowed us penetrate an extensively embraced market.
