We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Olivia Moore a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Olivia, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
It all started as a creative outlet while on bedrwst with my now 14 year old daughter . Once I started wearing my earrings , people were offering to buy them out of my ear . It was at that point I thought it would be pretty cool to see where starting a business would take me .

HypnoEars has and always will be about being bold and confident , regardless of the titles that are placed on us as women daily . HypnoEars make you feel bold and fly wherever you go and are meant to cause people to stop and stare ! They aren’t crochet earrings . They are handmade yarn earrings that are built to last .

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
There was a point during my journey where the supplies I use to make the earrings went out of business and they were the only source . I had to buy all that I could find on EBay and other online marketplaces. Eventually a new company emerged , but it was about a year later . Somehow I had enough supplies to hold me over during that time .
Do you sell on your site, or do you use a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc?
I primarily sell on Etsy , but I also have a woocommerce store of my own . I love the traffic I get from Etsy , but at times the fees can be a bit much . With my website I need to do more consistent marketing to drive traffic to my site and get more sales . I also sell through Instagram and Facebook
