We recently connected with Olivia Mason and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Olivia, thanks for joining us today. Almost every entrepreneur we know has considered donating a portion of their sales to an organization or cause – how did you make the decision of whether to donate? We’d love to hear the backstory if you’re open to sharing the details.
At Brandout Social, giving back to our communities and pouring into missions are extremely important to us. We’re not shy about being a faith-based organization. It’s what drives us. It’s what motivates us. When we started our company, we knew giving back would be at the forefront of what we do. That’s why 5% of all sales go back directly into Colorado Springs-based missions and 5% go to ARC. The Association for the Recovery of Children (ARC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization comprised of former and active intelligence officers (CIA), military special operators, and law enforcement officers who rescue missing, abducted, and trafficked American children being held in the US or overseas.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I started Brandout Social because I saw a need. There were a lot of businesses that didn’t know how to communicate to their audiences through effective digital marketing. There were also a lot of businesses that didn’t have the time or energy to dedicate to Social Media Management and actually running their social media accounts.
We work with businesses from east coast to west coast and even in Canada! It is truly incredible to hear the testimonials that pour in from the businesses we work with that highlight how they have been able to reach their communities in ways they never thought were possible before.
It’s not surprising for our team to refer to our clients as family. We develop a very deep and sincere relationship with every single one of the businesses that we get to work with. This allows us to trust each other, work well together, and perform the best services possible for our clients. Our customer experience is at the forefront of everything we do and it truly shows through each and every one of our team members.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
The coolest thing about Brandout Social is that we didn’t grow through online marketing ourselves. In fact, we haven’t even had to use it yet. Every single one of our clients has come through our doors as a referral. Just this week we onboarded a new client and the next morning we had someone schedule a consult call with our team that they referred through our doors. We haven’t even officially signed agreements to work together and they were already referring people to us. This is something we pride ourselves in. What those moments show is that we create an atmosphere where clients know they can trust us from day one and we treat our clients from the first time we even speak with them.
I truly believe our reputation has been built within our market because of the customer experience we are able to provide. Our team does exceptional work but the one thing we do better than anything else is take care of our clients. We meet them exactly where they are at. There’s never a “dumb” or “stupid” question asked by them. We want them to know that no matter how big or how small their problem is, they can come to our team knowing that they will be taken care of and a solution will quickly be found.

How do you keep your team’s morale high?
It’s pretty obvious how much we love our clients. But, one thing we tell our team is that they are even more important than our clients. Why? Because we can’t serve our clients and communities without them. Building a company that values employees is something that has always been incredibly important to me. You can’t own a successful business without having successful people that wake up every day excited to go to work. If our team woke up dreading coming to work that would break my heart. We manage our team in a way that showcases an open door policy, trust, and confidence in us as leaders and owners. We want them to know that no matter what, we have their best interest at heart and not only CHOOSE to work with them, but WANT them on our team.
Serving our clients well starts by serving our team well. We couldn’t do what we do without them.
