We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Olivia Jacobs a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Olivia, thanks for joining us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I got my first Canon camera in 2015 to capture moments on adventures with my boyfriend at the time.
As the years went on, I started bringing my camera to more places and capturing more things.
It wasn’t until 2017 that I captured a photo of our horses running through the snow that I decided to release my first limited edition photograph on canvas.
Once the print hung for the public to see, I witnessed people being brought to tears over the image and the story behind the two sorrel horses being slaughter house rescues.
From that moment on, I knew that I could move and inspire people through my imagery. Therefore, I continued to capture photos that moved me as I traveled to different countries.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m sure there are several photographers like me who grew up in the Art World. Having a famous artist as a father, I’ve been immersed in art and photography my whole life; I just thought that I must’ve missed the gene.
It wasn’t until 2015 when I was gifted my first Canon camera that I started to explore my eye with a lens.
Since then, I’ve sold hundreds of Fine Art prints and curate art collections for hotels and businesses in my area.
My talent with a camera has helped hundreds of people view life more beautifully and helped to improve homes globally through my Fine Art Photography.
When you view my photography collection or learn more about my custom photography services, I want you to get excited for the steps you’re taking towards a more meaningful life!
My company, Liv Me Be follows a principle of living life authentically. I used to dim myself to make others comfortable, but that left me feeling empty inside. Liv Me Be is a community where “I let You be You, and you let Me be Me”.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I went through divorce while I was five months pregnant and learned how to be a single mom for the first year of my son’s life.
Photography was the only thing that got me out of my depression during such a traumatic time in my life.
I want my photos of Mother Nature to inspire viewers to slow down and witness the simple beauties that surround us every day.
No matter what phase we’re in, Mother Nature can help us. Life is beautiful, so never give up.

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
