We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Olivia J Price a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Olivia J thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about serving the underserved.
Olivia J Price is deeply committed to serving underserved communities, particularly through homeownership and education. One story that stands out is Olivia’s journey as a young African American who entered real estate at 21 with no network or financial backing. She personally experienced the barriers facing many in underserved communities, including lack of access to resources, financial education, and opportunities for wealth building.
Recognizing these challenges, Olivia made it her mission to bridge the gap for others. For example, she pioneered free Lunch and Learn sessions for essential workers across Georgia, where she provides guidance on homeownership, wealth building, and financial literacy. She also offers mentorship programs for young girls, empowering them with the skills and knowledge to succeed in real estate and beyond, regardless of their backgrounds.
Additionally, Olivia J Price runs first-time homebuying programs aimed specifically at helping minorities and those from low-income areas achieve the dream of owning a home. These efforts reflect the brand’s dedication to uplifting communities often overlooked by traditional real estate practices, creating generational wealth and opportunity where it matters most.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m Olivia J Price, and I’m incredibly passionate about real estate, but my journey into this industry was anything but conventional. At just 21 years old, I took a leap of faith and purchased my first home without any prior knowledge or experience in real estate. What I did have was a burning desire to create something of value not only for myself but for others facing similar struggles. Coming from a background where financial education wasn’t easily accessible, I saw firsthand how difficult it can be for people in underserved communities, especially minorities, to access homeownership. That’s when I realized that I could make a difference.
In 2018, I founded Olivia J Price Realty Group, the number 1 Real Estate team in Northeast Atlanta, with the mission of empowering people to create wealth through real estate. My firm offers a range of services that include first-time homebuying programs, investment property guidance, and financial literacy workshops. We don’t just focus on transactions—we educate and advocate. We’re all about making homeownership accessible to everyone, especially those who might think it’s out of their reach due to systemic barriers or financial constraints.
What sets us apart from other firms is our holistic approach. We go beyond just helping clients buy or sell homes; we mentor, educate, and build long-lasting relationships. For example, our Lunch and Learn sessions are designed for essential workers, where we provide practical advice on homeownership, credit building, and financial planning. I also run a mentorship program for young girls, especially those who may not see college as an option, showing them that careers in real estate and other trades are within their reach.
One of the things I’m most proud of is that we’ve been able to help so many people who thought homeownership was impossible. I’ve worked with single mothers, essential workers, and families from low-income backgrounds who never imagined they could own a home, and now they do. That’s the kind of impact that drives me every day.
I want potential clients and followers to know that at Olivia J Price Realty Group, we’re not just about closing deals—we’re about creating generational wealth, uplifting communities, and breaking barriers. My journey from a young woman with no connections in real estate to leading one of the top minority-owned real estate teams in Georgia is proof that with the right support, anyone can succeed. We’re here to provide that support and help you build a legacy through homeownership.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Building my reputation within the real estate market came down to a few key principles: authenticity, education, community focus, and consistent delivery of results. Here’s what helped me stand out:
1. Authenticity and Passion
I believe people can feel when you’re genuinely invested in helping them. From day one, I’ve made it clear that my mission goes beyond just selling homes. It’s about empowering individuals, especially from underserved communities, to create generational wealth through homeownership. My personal journey as a young African American woman overcoming systemic barriers resonates with a lot of people, and I think that relatability has been a strong foundation for building trust.
2. Educational Advocacy
I made it a priority to educate my clients and community. Early on, I recognized that many people lacked the basic knowledge required to navigate real estate transactions—whether it was understanding credit scores, the mortgage process, or even knowing the benefits of owning property. I started offering free Lunch and Learn sessions for essential workers, financial literacy classes in local high schools, and real estate investment seminars, all to empower people with the knowledge they needed to succeed. These efforts not only built trust but also established me as an expert in the field.
3. Building Strong Relationships
For me, real estate is a relationship business. I take time to understand each client’s unique needs and guide them through the process with patience and transparency. Whether working with first-time homebuyers or experienced investors, I make sure each client feels valued and heard. Many of my clients come from referrals, which I think speaks to the trust and rapport I’ve built.
4. Consistency and Results
Delivering consistent results is another key factor. People appreciate reliability, and I’ve worked hard to make sure my team is known for closing deals efficiently, securing the best terms for clients, and providing excellent customer service throughout the process. Being ranked as a top 5% real estate team in Northeast Atlanta, and receiving accolades such as Rising Star and Best of Gwinnett, further reinforces that my team is committed to excellence.
5. Community Engagement
My involvement in grassroots efforts and community initiatives also played a big role in building my reputation. I’ve served on the board for various organizations, including the Georgia Association of Realtors and the City of Loganville Development Authority, giving me a platform to advocate for underrepresented voices in the industry. These roles have given me visibility and allowed me to make a tangible difference in my community.
6. Mentorship and Empowerment Programs
Lastly, the mentorship programs I’ve developed—especially for young girls who may not have access to college—have helped me establish my brand as one that’s about empowerment and creating opportunities. This has not only elevated my reputation but also built loyalty and a sense of purpose around my work.
My reputation in the market is built on authenticity, education, strong relationships, consistent results, community involvement, and a genuine commitment to empowering others. People know that I’m not just in this for business—I’m here to make a difference.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best source of new clients for me has been referrals and word of mouth. These come directly from past clients who had positive experiences working with me and my team. When people feel genuinely cared for and see tangible results, they naturally share their stories with friends, family, and coworkers, which leads to a steady flow of referral business.
Here’s what I believe has made referrals such a strong source of new clients:
1. Building Trust Through Relationships
I focus on building strong, long-term relationships with my clients. Whether it’s a first-time homebuyer or an investor, I make sure they feel supported throughout the entire process, which encourages them to refer others to my services. Happy clients tend to become loyal advocates, and they’re often the first to recommend me when someone they know is looking to buy or sell a home.
2. Education and Advocacy
My Lunch and Learn sessions, financial literacy workshops, and real estate investment seminars have been invaluable. These free educational events aren’t just about showcasing my expertise; they’re about empowering people with the tools they need to succeed. Many attendees of these sessions refer their friends and family because they appreciate that my approach isn’t just transactional—it’s about making them smarter, more informed homeowners.
3. Strong Online Presence and Social Proof
Having a strong online presence, especially through client testimonials and reviews, has also been key. Potential clients often research agents online, and seeing glowing reviews or social proof from people who’ve had a great experience reassures them that I’m the right choice. My social media profiles also serve as a platform to showcase the success stories of clients, my community involvement, and real estate tips, all of which draw in new leads organically.
4. Community Involvement and Word of Mouth
Being actively involved in the community has played a huge role in generating new clients. Whether through mentorship programs, volunteer efforts, or my work with local boards and associations, I’ve built a strong network of people who know me personally and professionally. Many of my clients come from introductions made through these community connections.
5. Collaborations and Networking
Partnering with local businesses, financial institutions, and community organizations has also helped in gaining new clients. Collaborations for first-time homebuying programs or offering real estate investment workshops to local companies have allowed me to tap into different networks and build relationships with potential clients who may not have found me otherwise.
In short, my best source of new clients has been through referrals, education initiatives, community involvement, and maintaining a strong reputation both online and offline. These have helped me build a business where clients feel confident not only in working with me but in recommending me to others.
