We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Olga &Sergio Eremin a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Olga &Sergio thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
OLGIO — ART YOU CAN WEAR
Art that lives, moves, and can be worn
OLGIO is a silk art scarf brand born at the intersection of art, emotion, and craftsmanship.
Each scarf begins as an artistic idea — a feeling, a symbol, a quiet story captured through color, movement, and light. We create limited silk pieces for women who value meaning over noise, depth over trends, and refinement over excess.
But the story of OLGIO did not begin with silk.
It began with paintings.
Sergey, the artist behind the originals, possesses a distinctive and deeply expressive technique — painting in acrylic with the softness, transparency, and fluidity of watercolor. His works carry a rare sense of movement and emotion, often described as “breathing” paintings — alive with light, atmosphere, and feeling.
Over time, people began saying the same thing: this art deserves to be seen by more people.
That is when an idea came to me.
As a designer, creative partner in the project, and Sergey’s life partner, I felt compelled to bring this living art beyond the canvas and into everyday life.
And what better medium than silk could express lightness, movement, breath, and touch?
By thoughtfully adapting each original artwork for fabric — refining composition, rhythm, and flow — we transform paintings into extraordinary living silk art scarves that come alive in the hands and on the body.
They are not simply accessories.
They are stories you can wear.
Every OLGIO scarf begins as a hand-created painting on canvas before being carefully translated onto silk. Because of this process, each piece carries something far greater than beauty alone — it preserves the energy, emotion, and intention of the original artwork.
We believe art should not only be seen — it should be felt.
That is why we work with premium silk twill and silk satin. No other fabric captures color, light, and depth quite like silk. It flows naturally, feels almost weightless against the skin, and allows art to move gracefully with the body.
Every OLGIO scarf is designed as a small work of art — where symbols, emotions, and visual poetry come together to create something deeply personal, timeless, and meaningful.
The idea for OLGIO had lived within me for many years.
It began in Singapore, where we lived for more than five years. It was Singapore that deeply shaped my understanding of style, aesthetics, fashion, textile artistry, and a certain kind of understated luxury — one that is felt rather than displayed.
It inspired me to bring the light, beauty, and emotional world of Sergey’s paintings into people’s lives — not only through silk scarves, but through elegant and unconventional silk dresses, tailored pieces, and wearable art designed to make women feel as though they are living inside art itself.
OLGIO is more than an accessory.
It is a new artistic language — one where art no longer belongs only on the wall, but becomes part of movement, identity, emotion, and everyday life.
OLGIO — Art You Can Wear.

Olga &Sergio, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Before this project came into our lives, I spent more than 25 years working as a top manager for one of the well-known American companies. However, creativity had always been quietly growing inside me.
Traveling, discovering beauty in different cultures, a love for style, and an eye for how beautiful things should work together truly opened up for me after we discovered Singapore. I always loved helping friends create wardrobe capsules, combining pieces that felt elegant, timeless, and personal. For me, style has never been only about luxury brands or expensive labels — it is about beauty, harmony, and quality.
Looking back, I now realize those were probably the first signs of what would later become our creative journey.
Then came my husband Sergio’s art.
I genuinely love every one of his paintings — although I am probably his toughest critic during the creative process. Watching him work is fascinating. Sometimes he doubts, stops, starts over again, questions every detail. But somehow, what eventually comes from his hands always carries an unusual light — something emotional, alive, and impossible to ignore. And I felt deeply that this light deserved to be shared with the world.
Our silk journey truly began with one very special scarf: Whisper of Petals.
The original painting behind it took almost a year and a half to complete. Sergio abandoned it several times and then returned to it again because he wasn’t satisfied with the flower petals in the final stages. But when we finally added blue butterflies, something magical happened — the artwork came to life in a completely new way, and an extraordinary silk scarf was born.
Today, Whisper of Petals is one of our clients’ favorite designs. I believe part of the reason is its complexity — the rich composition and sophisticated colors make it incredibly versatile. It works beautifully with almost any wardrobe and can transform into many forms of expression: a headscarf, neck scarf, bandana, belt, or even a silk top.
At the moment, we focus primarily on artistic silk scarves, but we have already developed designs for silk pajamas, ribbons, pareos, blouses, dresses, and tailored suits.
One of the most fascinating discoveries in this process has been realizing that not every painting naturally belongs on every material or product. Each artwork seems to reveal where it truly belongs.
For example, Dreams Underwater exists beautifully only on silk satin scarves. Whisper of Petals feels perfect exclusively on silk twill. Summer Musas works best in smaller formats — for handbags and neck scarves — yet also pairs beautifully with elegant tailored suits. Our Renaissance artwork, in my opinion, could only truly come alive on the finest cashmere or delicate chiffon for dresses.
This entire process feels incredibly surprising, intuitive, and inspiring.
Our vision for the future includes a silk collection featuring scarves, ribbons, pajamas, pareos, dresses, and trouser suits.
Alongside wearable art, we are also expanding our artistic direction through curated postcard collections featuring Sergio’s artworks, original canvas paintings, and a special series of works on paper.
Sergio creates these paper works in a particularly unique way — using acrylics in a watercolor technique, which gives them an unusual softness, movement, and life.
This is our vision: creating art that can not only be admired but also lived with, worn, and felt.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
This is only a small part of the story — a moment when I finally found a supplier who agreed to print our first art silk scarves on silk fabric. The search itself took almost a year.
Most of the early samples came back with defects. The imperfections were barely visible, but I have always been extremely demanding when it comes to quality. I could not compromise on that standard.
Still, I did not give up.
Instead, I continued refining and creating new designs for the next scarves, holding on to the vision of what OLGIO was meant to become.
And then something unexpected happened — a new supplier and a new production studio found us themselves.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
We are still at the early stage of building our company, and we do not yet have a large number of clients. However, the feedback we receive from those who have chosen OLGIO is deeply meaningful — it is filled with words of gratitude and wishes for our continued growth.
What carries us forward is our love for what we create, and the ability to bring this vision into the world. It is also the desire to give every woman the opportunity to experience something unique, to feel joy through it, and to connect with something truly special.
We are committed to creating beautiful, unusual pieces with a high standard of quality, while keeping them accessible in price so that many women can experience them.
