Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Olga Polo. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Olga, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start big picture – what are some of biggest trends you are seeing in your industry?
Social media’s throwing this massive trend party, and brides are getting all caught up. It’s like, “Do I really want this, or is it just ’cause everyone else is doing it?”
Film photography and editorial style are hot right now, no doubt. But here’s the deal – is it really your vibe? Let’s talk fashion for a second. Low-rise skinny jeans might be the rage, but if they don’t vibe with your body type, would you still rock ’em?
The same goes for weddings. Forget the pressure to fit the trend if it’s not screaming ‘you.’ Social media can be a bit of a bandwagon, but your big day is about YOU. So, take a second, forget the noise, and ask yourself, “What feels right?” Trends come and go, but your style is timeless.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Back to 2018, I started Olga Polo Weddings. But before that, let me spill the beans – I was in the game of crafting killer Fine Art Children’s portraits, snagged a few international prizes.
Now, Olga Polo Weddings ain’t your run-of-the-mill wedding crew. We’re not just there to snap pics and videos; we’re problem-solving, mood-lifting, memory-making machines.
We passion and care. We’re not here to clock in and out. We’re here to bring a stress-free, good-vibe-filled energy to your big day. It’s all about personalities – yours and ours – ensuring it’s a match made in wedding heaven.
I’m beaming with pride about the quality and unique style we bring to the table. We’re not just capturing moments; we’re weaving memories, play with lights and posing, shadows, perspective that’ll make you do a double-take, like, “Did we really look that cool?”
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Letting folks peek into the backstage of my life, showing the quirks, personality, and a sneak peek into the private vibe – turns out, it’s been a game-changer. People dig seeing the real deal, not just the polished product, even if it’s top-notch.
Being a bit more than just a face behind the lens has helped me build some serious street cred in my market. Because let’s be real, folks connect with people, not just a flawless portfolio. It’s like, “Hey, I’m not just capturing moments; I’m a human too, with quirks and all.”
So, here’s to keeping it real, showing the behind-the-scenes chaos, and letting the personality shine through. Turns out, being a bit extra in real life isn’t such a bad thing for the business.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
Man, I had to unlearn this one hard lesson – thinking I could roll with a team based solely on friendship vibes.
Now, I’m all about having contracts, even if we’re practically finishing each other’s sentences. Lost a good employee once ’cause of a disagreement that came out of the blue. Lesson learned: never assume smooth sailing; life’s got a knack for throwing curveballs, even at the chillest crew.
So, the moral of the story – friends are great, but contracts? They’re like the superhero capes in the workplace.
