We recently connected with Olga Miliuta and have shared our conversation below.
Olga, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your creative career sooner or later?
“I’ve been singing and playing the piano for as long as I can remember, so in many ways my career began naturally and very early. I wouldn’t wish to have started any earlier, because music has always been a part of my life from the beginning. I always knew I would become a singer — it never felt like a decision, but rather something that grew with me.

Olga, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Olga Miliuta. I’m a Belarusian-born American opera and classical pop singer, and my entire life has been connected to music. I hold several degrees in choir directing, piano teaching, and opera and concert singing, and I completed my studies at the Belarusian State Conservatory. After that, I continued advanced training in opera at the Elena Obraztsova School in Saint Petersburg and at Madame Zelenyk’s Opera-Operetta School in Avignon, France.
Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to win first place and the Grand Prix at multiple international opera and operetta competitions across Italy, France, Germany, Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, and the United States.
On stage, I’ve performed roles such as the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute, Brigitta and Iolanta in Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta, Mimi and Musetta in La Bohème, and Violetta in Verdi’s La Traviata. I spent many years as a guest soloist with the German International Symphony Orchestra in Cologne and Munich, and in 2023 I performed with the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra in their ‘Home for the Holidays’ program.
In January 2023, I released my first CD, Songs of Divine Mercy, and I’ve been invited to perform as a guest soloist at Carnegie Hall in January 2025. My repertoire includes works by Verdi, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Puccini, and many others, and I sing in 16 different languages.
I’m also the founder and owner of Belcanto Music School in Corpus Christi, Texas, where I teach piano and voice. My students not only perform successfully in both Europe and the United States — many of them are winners of international music competitions, which is one of the most rewarding aspects of my teaching career

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Yes — my mission has always been to touch people’s hearts through music and to keep classical art alive and accessible. Whether I’m performing on stage or teaching my students, I want to inspire emotional connection, beauty, and meaning. Music has shaped my entire life, and my goal is to share that gift with others

Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?
I wish I had known earlier how many international projects, masterclasses, and competitions were available for young singers. When you’re starting out, you don’t always know where to look or who to ask. These resources not only build skills but also create invaluable connections that support a long-term artistic career
