Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Olga Denisova. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Olga, thanks for joining us today. I’m sure there have been days where the challenges of being an artist or creative force you to think about what it would be like to just have a regular job. When’s the last time you felt that way? Did you have any insights from the experience?
Being an artist is the hardest job I know — if you can live a normal, stable life with a regular job, do it and keep creativity as a hobby! But some of us, like me, are just too far gone. I can’t live without creating, even if that means forgetting what a steady paycheck or predictable schedule looks like. The last time I imagined having a “normal job,” I laughed, then cried a little, then went back to editing photos at 2am. So yes, I’m happier as a creative — tired, chaotic, but happy.

Olga, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hi! I’m Olga, a portrait photographer with over 13 years of experience. I started my journey with a simple camera and a big love for capturing real, emotional moments — and that love turned into my full-time profession. I specialize in creating natural, stylish portraits that help people see the best version of themselves — whether it’s for personal branding, social media, or just to feel confident and beautiful. My clients often tell me they feel comfortable and inspired during our sessions, and that’s the biggest compliment for me. What sets me apart is my ability to create a relaxed, creative atmosphere and see each person’s unique charm — that’s what I’m most proud of.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My mission is to help people see their own beauty and uniqueness through my lens. I believe everyone deserves to feel confident, seen, and celebrated, and photography is my way of making that happen. My goal is to create not just pretty pictures, but real emotional connections and lasting memories.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
One big lesson I had to unlearn was that everything has to be perfect before I share it with the world. For years, I delayed posting my work or launching ideas because they didn’t feel “ready enough.” But I realized that perfection is a moving target — and waiting for it was holding me back. Now I believe in progress over perfection, and that done is better than perfect. Some of my favorite projects came from just going for it, even if it felt a little messy at first!
