We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Olga Belteton. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Olga below.
Alright, Olga thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about how you went about setting up your own practice and if you have any advice for professionals who might be considering starting their own?
The decision to establish my own corrective skincare practice, Olga Belle Aesthetics, was deeply rooted in my personal journey of overcoming acne. Struggling with persistent skin issues, I was determined to uncover the underlying causes and provide effective, long-lasting solutions that addressed the root of the problem.
To embark on this venture, I delved into advanced skincare courses and obtained specialized certifications in corrective skincare. Equipped with a wealth of knowledge and expertise, I set out to find the perfect location for my practice. After thorough research and visits to various spaces, I finally found a cozy studio that exuded warmth and tranquility, creating the ideal safe space for my clients.
Building a client base emerged as a significant challenge. I understood the importance of establishing trust and credibility to attract clients, so I focused on providing personalized care and exceptional service to each individual who sought my expertise. Leveraging social media platforms and word-of-mouth marketing, I worked to raise awareness about my corrective skincare services and connect with potential clients.
If given the chance to offer advice to my past self, I would emphasize the importance of seeking mentorship and guidance from industry professionals. Collaborating with experienced individuals can provide valuable insights and support in navigating the complexities of running a corrective skincare practice.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
In addition to training and knowledge, I believe that authenticity and vulnerability play a crucial role in succeeding in the field of esthetics and as a business owner. Being true to yourself and showcasing your authentic self can help you connect with your clients on a deeper level and attract your ideal clientele.
Authenticity allows you to build genuine relationships with your clients, fostering trust and loyalty. When clients see that you are genuine and true to yourself, they are more likely to feel comfortable and confident in your abilities. This can lead to long-lasting relationships and repeat business, as clients are drawn to your authenticity and the unique experience you provide.
Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
I believe that mindset and a strong sense of self-awareness are crucial for succeeding in any field, especially as a business owner in the skincare industry. One key aspect that can greatly contribute to success is the ability to not compare yourself to others and instead focus on nurturing your own growth and development.
Comparing yourself to others can be detrimental to your self-esteem and confidence, as it often leads to feelings of inadequacy or imposter syndrome. By shifting your focus inward and concentrating on your own journey, you can cultivate a mindset of continuous improvement and self-assurance. This allows you to stay true to your unique strengths and vision, rather than getting caught up in the achievements or successes of others.
