We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Oldren Romero a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Oldren, appreciate you joining us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
I discovered that I was an Artist at the age of 4, My mother took me to Painting classes and that was it, I loved it, and after that History, I start doing and appreciating Art in general.
Oldren, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I been doing Art all my life, Painting, Photography and Films and now I am directing a Film Festival

New England Film Festival is an international film festival created by artist Oldren Romero and for artists.
It is a platform to be together in the process of film creation, to get to know works from around the world and to make contact with other creators who have that need to create and join together to make works.
New England Film Festival also offers a space for learning, through the award winners who will talk about the process of creating their works, through videos in which communication and interaction with the public will be opened since there is a space dedicated to audiovisual education, learning and collaboration.
In New England Film Festival nothing is impossible , is an space to make your film dream come true.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
For me being an artist is Happiness, It’s a need , I need to create, its therapeutic for me everytime i finish a project , could be a Paint, a photograph, a Film, a Film Festival edition, is a feeling of happiness , no matter if that project get recognition or not the satisfaction is in your soul. and the work will be there for the future, that’s why I make sure when I do something is as close as i imagine it because one day I will not be here but my work will be and i want people see me and identify me thought my work as an Artist.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My goal in Paint, Photograph and Film is express topics that people do not want to touch, also teach that everything is possible if you really want to do it, and in the Film Festival is to get Artist together and collaborate
