We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Ojo Francis Osas a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Ojo Francis , appreciate you joining us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
That was when I handled a mic 🎤 in my mom’s church and it went perfectly
I was kind of shy at the beginning but I gradually got used to it and I’m grateful for that
I’m also someone who admires fame so much and since I was a kid I’ve always dream to be that big celebrity one day and make everyone proud

My names are Ojo Francis Osas aka Everly, I was born July 12 1998, I’m a music artist and also a song writer
I believe musics 🎶 are good meals for the soul and I ensure to make my fans and supports enjoy that meal
I’m very much proud of my self for not giving up on me, even though in the beginning was hard but now I’m grateful for my current state even if it’s not enough yet 😊

Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?
Yes, I was I knew on time that music is all about making money and also fighting for yourself to be heard and not waiting for one big celebrity to come from somewhere to render help, you must as well fight for it and when the time is right that same celebrity will come for you
So I wish I knew earlier that making money is the first priority to promote my music career I would have gone far i so believe
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

When I started chasing this music career, I have a role model then which I liked so much and every day I keep on sending messages on all his social media platforms but no response, I would even send him records of my songs even though I know he won’t read them but I keep putting it there for him,
Luckily, on one faithful day he responds, because then I was seeing my self singing just like Falz the bad guy, so anytime I want to drop message for him I will also say“ help me sir, I can sing like Falz “ then he told me boy you are so good more than Falz don’t ever compare yourself to anyone because everybody is unique in their own ways and then he also said to me go and make money then come for music because every career needs a good capital to push forward, so music won’t run
That was how I started hustle for money and also pushing my career gradually to my current state
So I’m still unsigned and hoping one day I will have the opportunity to join a bigger team 😊
