We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Odell Hamilton a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Odell , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Do you have any thoughts about how to create a more inclusive workplace?
Let us replace “workplace” with industry and that is our goal. We are looking to create a more inclusive craft beer industry.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I would like to take this opportunity to not only introduce you to our brand, but a solid group of Houston locals as well.
@brewbroshtx – We are a Houston based company that produces and hosts craft beer events. We’re pushing and advocating for diversity and inclusion within all aspects of craft beer: collaborative brewing, serving, and recommending.
@thepintexcange – The Pint Exchange is also a Houston based company which focuses on Building Bridges Through Craft: We strive to educate, diversify, develop, and support.
@fortheculturebc – For the Culture is a Black Beer company with Latin Flavor. Striving to diversify palates in the beer world. They brew it “For The Culture.” They will be Houston’s first black owned brewery.
@hoptopicworld – Hop Topic is creating AUTHENTIC INCLUSION in the craft beer community by building a platform connecting it locally and globally.
@htowncraftsippers – A Latino collective of craft beer connoisseurs known for their amazing beer shares.
@Craftbeergods – Craft beer & bourbon legend!
@craftbeerempire – An aspiring brewer; currently studying brewing science at Sacred Heart University.

How did you build your audience on social media?
We mainly use Instagram to connect on social media, hence the previous list. The goal here is to remain authentic and active. Give us all a follow, we deserve it.
