Wow, what a great question.. My business is definitely much larger than what it was when I first started my photobooth business in 2019.
Nothing happened for me over night, I put consistent work on ideas and new investments every chance I got..
As I’ve mentioned before on my last interview I did take a year off while being pregnant and little after giving birth, and it did push me back on growing my business. So I knew once I was ready to network and work I had to give it all I got.
Even when it was hard and some days were easier than others I knew I had to push. Elevating my mindset and business was the only thing on my mind day and night.
After 4 months of giving birth my business was already back on track.
Bookings were coming in left and right.
And that’s when I began my next investment. “Infinite Marquee”
I started a marquee business to add on to my photobooth business and it was one of the best decisions I ever made!
My clients love both services.
Not only do I offer these two services I’ve added all kinds of additional rentals.
Backdrops, balloons, Customizable party details Etc.
Doing all of this made me grow my love for event industry more than I could possibly imagine!
Now I am currently working on becoming an event planner as I’ve already planned a couple of events on my own.
Odalis, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m more than proud of myself for pushing to where I am today. This entire year of 2022 I have not had one weekend where my photobooth is not booked or marquee letters aren’t set up at different party’s or venues around Houston and the surrounding areas.
I’m ending this year with a bang!
I have been growing my entire inventory as well as networking more and more on all social media platforms.
I have two star employees who are more than involved in everything I do and learning more and more every day.
They are both seniors in high school with such great work ethic.
Couldn’t have gotten through the summer without them!
As I continue to grow I do plan on expanding my team and I can’t wait for that.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele would definitely have to be networking on social media and in person any chance I get. I’m such a people person, I enjoy meeting new faces and making new friends. Working as much as I do I get that opportunity very often.
I will say, meeting the right people who enjoy to hustle as much as you do and have goals of their own will take you further than you can possibly imagine.
We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
I tend to keep in touch with all clients that I’ve ever worked with! I speak to them as if they were friends, not my clients. I’m here to cater to them not them cater to me.
As well I talk to vendors I work with weekly, even daily at times! If I don’t have the services available my client is looking for I will never hesitate to go out of my way to find it elsewhere.
