Alright, N’yah thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Looking back on your career, have you ever worked with a great leader or boss? We’d love to hear about the experience and what you think made them such a great leader.

I’ve been fortunate to have an amazing boss at Target who truly guided me on my journey to becoming a manager. His name is Pierrott, and I can’t thank him enough for his impact on my career. All glory to God !!
Pierrott had a knack for seeing potential in people, even when they didn’t see it in themselves. There were times when his expectations felt overwhelming, but he pushed me to reach beyond my comfort zone. His belief in my abilities motivated me to strive for more, reminding me that hard work and dedication could lead to leadership opportunities.
One particular moment stands out: we were working on a challenging project, and I was feeling discouraged. Pierrott took the time to pull me aside, acknowledging my efforts and encouraging me to keep pushing forward. His words reignited my determination, and I realized that I was already on the path to leadership.
As we both moved up in our roles, I felt a sense of accomplishment knowing that we had both earned our positions through hard work. His ability to motivate the team and inspire us to do better was truly remarkable, and I’m grateful for the guidance he provided along the way.

Hey everyone, my name is N’yah Mathis, and I’m a 23-year-old content creator. My goal is to turn content creation into my main source of income, freeing myself from the 9-to-5 grind. I started this journey by stepping out on faith, ordering clothes from Shein, and promoting them—collaboration with them is a dream of mine! I began posting outfit ideas on Instagram, targeting an audience that values confidence and personal style.
What keeps me disciplined is the vision of living financially free. I believe in the power of creating unique outfits and showing others that anyone can mix and match pieces to express themselves. I aim to empower my followers, reminding them not to worry about outside opinions—it’s all about your hustle and journey. I’m proud of my consistency, even when support from those around me wavers. I genuinely love what I do, and I know success is on the horizon. I appreciate all the love I’ve received, and I know I’m destined for greatness!

Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?

Reflecting on my creative journey, the most valuable resource I wish I had discovered earlier is the importance of consistency. Establishing a regular practice can significantly enhance growth and development for myself. Additionally, I often think about how beneficial it would have been to start my creative endeavors sooner, especially considering my love for exploration and the countless experiences I’ve had while venturing out. Embracing these moments and integrating them into my work could have enriched my artistic expression from the very beginning. I am grateful that I learned this along the way and I will continue to keep going.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

My goal in driving my creative journey is to live my dream, which I believe is entirely attainable. I aspire to embrace a luxurious lifestyle that reflects the essence of black girl luxury, filled with travel and plenty of shopping sprees. I want to support my family by helping with bills and ensuring they have what they need. Additionally, I aim to be financially wise, saving and multiplying my money to create a secure future. This vision motivates me to work hard and stay committed to my creative pursuits.
