We recently connected with Nuria Garcia and have shared our conversation below.
Nuria, appreciate you joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I moved countries (Spain to the US) and I have been sharing my journey online, then I saw the power of building that presence. The idea of my business came when I started meeting with tech founders. I have been creating content for different businesses for years and saw how powerful that was, that when I started meeting people with ideas that could change the world and why they decided to pursue that I wanted to help them share those with the world.
That’s when I created a seamless process for founders to create and share content about their stories and startups to get customers, investors and also attract talent when they are ready to grow. A founder’s job is to make sure the company works and when they have to focus on all the content creation by themselves it can be distracting, that’s why I decided to do it for them.
My favorite part of all of these is the people I get to work with and seeing them change the world one startup at the time.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am Nuria, originally from Spain but I moved to the US 4 years ago and I am the founder of NBN Media, a video content agency that helps startups and founders build visibility, attract investment, earn trust, and grow through powerful video storytelling.
I’ve spent the past decade working with startups and creating content for brands, which led me to combine both worlds into a business that’s all about helping people show up online with clarity and confidence.
At NBN Media, we handle everything from strategy and scripting to filming, editing, and distribution. Our clients don’t need to stress about content. They just show up, and we do the rest. Our focus is on turning founders into the face of their brand so they can build authority, attract talent, and close more deals.
What makes us different is how personalized our approach is. We get to know each client deeply so the content actually feels like them. It’s not a forced and scripted video, but a natural conversation when we ask them the questions that will resonate with the listeners. Since I’ve built businesses myself , I understand how to speak directly to investors, customers, and future hires.
I’m most proud of creating a business that reflects who I am. I love creating, solving problems, and connecting people. Whether it’s through video, events, or sharing my own journey, my goal is to inspire others to grow, lead, and make their vision real.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
One story that really illustrates my resilience is tied to the early days of moving to the U.S. I came here from Spain without a safety net, no network, and no clear roadmap. I had already started and run businesses before, but suddenly I was in a completely new environment where I had to rebuild everything professionally and personally.
At first, I thought I would keep doing what I’d always done: create content for B2C brands and help them grow. But the U.S. market moved differently, and I realized quickly that I couldn’t just replicate what had worked before. I had to adapt. So I paid close attention to what B2B founders needed. I noticed that many had great products but struggled to show up online, build trust, and attract the right people.
That’s when I pivoted and built NBN Media. I shifted from being a general content creator to becoming a partner for founders, someone who could help them tell their story on video in a way that moved the needle for their business. I had to develop new offers, a new audience, and basically build a company from scratch in a market that didn’t know me.
There were moments where it felt like I was starting over again and again. But every time, I found a way to make it work. Whether it was testing new services, learning how to sell in a different culture, or adjusting my business model to make it more sustainable, I’ve learned that I can adapt to anything. That mindset, that I’ll figure it out no matter where I am, is probably the biggest reason I’m still standing and still growing.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I built my audience by showing up consistently and being as natural as possible. I shared my journey—what I was building, what I was learning, the ups and downs of growing a business in a new country, and that openness helped people connect with me. But being authentic is only part of the equation.
The truth is, you also need structure. In a world where anyone can share videos online, you need to stand out through strong hooks, clear messages, and to really understand where your audience is and what they care about. If you’re just posting without intention, you might be consistent, but you’re not being effective. I see too many people showing up online but not actually getting anyone to stop and listen.
My advice for those starting out: yes, be yourself, but don’t wing it. Start with a clear goal. Know who you’re speaking to and why. Build content that educates, inspires, or entertains, and make sure it has a purpose. The right people will only find you if your content is crafted to reach them.
And don’t overthink the numbers at first. Focus on building trust and clarity in your message. The growth will follow.
