NT, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?

First things first, thank you for having me back on the platform! I’m very grateful for the exposure and the opportunity to share my story! Coming up with the name, Tennessee’s Elite OCD Cleaning Services was definitely by design! I have OCD and raising 5 boys (who are always into stuff) left me cleaning 2 to 3 times a day.. I put myself in the Category with the Elites because I’m always challenging myself physically and mentally while striving to become the best version of myself! I wanted this to be a cleaning company for everybody in Tennessee as well as Mississippi, Arkansas and even Nashville! In the future, the goal is to become Nationwide with our exceptional services to give each customer or client a cleaner, more organized future.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

My name is NT Genous. I’m a single father of 5 amazing boys(ages 11,8,7,5 and 4) that are the spark plugs to my life! I’m a Grapple Truck operator for Waste Connections as well as an Entrepreneur (Tennessee’s Elite OCD Cleaning Services LLC).

I’ve always been an organized individual that kept things around the house in order. Vacuuming the floors, mopping, decorating, organizing, etc. The idea to have a cleaning business didn’t strike me until years after all my kids were born. I noticed the intense task of maintaining a home with kids and I just knew I wasn’t the only one with this problem.

I watched and listened to other people with kids talk about the difficulties of maintaining a clean home and how they didn’t have the necessary time to properly clean it. I knew then that I would want to be the one to help assist the parents that aren’t able to keep up their home! Nonetheless, this opened up doors for other people as well! Some people may work too much and don’t have the time to clean. You have the elderly couples that need help around the house. You have disabled individuals who can’t clean that needs help and of course, you have the ones who can do it but rather hire someone to clean it for them!

The beauty of Tennessee’s Elite OCD Cleaning Services LLC is that it’s a one stop shop! Anything you can think of that you need cleaned, we can do it! This consist of, General Cleaning, Deep Cleaning, Hoarded Cleaning, Carpet Cleaning, Upholstery Cleaning, Car Detailing, Covid Cleaning, Steam Cleaning(stove, Mattresses, Couches etc.) Pressure Washing(house,porch,sidewalk, drive way, patio etc), Organizing, as well as Cleaning advice! We want to be able to reach everybody that we can to satisfy their needs!

What we love the most is giving the customer and or client the relief their looking for! One particular customer that stood out stress to me how much she loved the couch that was giving to her by her now Deceased grandmother and that she did not want to get rid of it but she was on the verge of doing that because over time it had gotten really dirty due to her kids misuse of the couch! We were able to go in and use the proper equipment to bring that couch back to life!!!! She cried and thanked us for the amazing job we done! Most importantly, she was able to keep the couch and saved hundreds of dollars getting a new one!! The customers reaction is our satisfaction!!

Tennessee’s Elite OCD Cleaning Services LLC is in its own lane! We don’t rush through a customer or client to just get paid. We put our heart into our craft so that that customer or client can tell a friend or a family member that we are legit!! Nonetheless, I wouldn’t want someone to come to me and do a poor job that I’m paying for! The Universe rewards you for your good energy and we have a lot of it to give to the people that needs/want our services!!

I’ am definitely proud of the consistency of the company! That gives anyone whose on our platforms more respect for what we are doing! Also, it gives them trust in us that we do know what it takes to be an Elite Cleaning Service! As of right now, we have 3 platforms! Facebook, Google and The Better Business Bureau! On each of those platforms, customers/clients have left testimonials of the outstanding services we have given to them!! The proof is definitely in the Pudding so check out those platforms for reviews and before and after images of our work!!

How did you build your audience on social media?

I noticed how other cleaning companies never or rarely had before and after photos of their work! The before and after of your hard work leaves a WOW factor for a lot of people!! You have to let the audiences see the degree of what it is you’re dealing with so that they can have and opinion! Also, having a before and after let’s the ones in the audience that may have a room or a home that look similar feel comfortable contacting you to service them! You have to make the hardest things look easy and when you do that, people will organically draw themselves to you and be on the look out for more stuff you will post! That’s what worked for me!

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

The past 3 years of my life has by far been the toughest thus far! I’m raising 5 boys as a single father, I work 55 to 60 hrs a week at my primary job, I have a cleaning business and I also have arthritis in my back! The level of resilience is unimaginable for most but as I mentioned earlier, my boys are the spark plugs to my life!! Everything I’m doing is to set up a foundation for them and leave a legacy!! The amount of times I wanted to just give up because I THOUGHT I couldn’t do it, really just showed me that I can do it because I’m still here now!! Sometimes, suffering is a good thing because it takes you down a road most wouldn’t want to continue but when you continue and you succeed, you’ve literally given yourself more confidence, more wisdom and more strength to tackle other obstacles life will surely bring!! With that being said, these pass 3 yrs has also been the best for me because I did a lot of stuff I was not comfortable doing and I Excelled in it!! My advice to you all is to face the uncomfortable situations head on!! It’s best to learn how to manage it and conquer it now then later!
