We recently connected with Nox Nohi and have shared our conversation below.
Nox, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
I have built my entire career on taking risk. When I knew that this life as a creative was possible. I sold all of my belongings, I sold my car, and then Reduced my life to a camera bag and duffel bag full of clothes.
I sleep on my friends couches between tours. I reinvested the majority of my money into assets and gear that would help me evolve as a creative as well as investing in the people who allow me to do this.
Where I am today feel like every risk was worth it and I’m finally coming to place in life where I don’t have to take as many risks because betting on myself has started to pay off.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I first got into photography and videography by taking the last stimulus check we received in March of 2021 and bought a camera, I first started out by taking pictures of my friend riding BMX and then swiftly moved into shooting hardcore and metal shows. eventually I ended up on a regional tour, which led to national tour and I’m currently pending my first international tour
Currently my services include live music photography/videography, Graphic Design, and music videos
I think what sets me apart from the massively talented people in field and what I’m most proud of go hand in hand that is my unrelenting desire to evolve and live in a state of never being satisfied creatively. I am always looking for a new way to convey and capture the feeling of being of being at the show.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being and a creative is 100% the friends I’ve made along the way and the stories I get to here. The camaraderie of being on tour and creating a bond that can only be created on tour.
Seeing the artist I am working for light up at what I can create in a matter of hours is like jet fuel for me and puts me in this state of creative nirvana.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
I spent a lot of my time in very dark head space and often alone outside of my small circle of friends and I don’t ever want to return to that mindset again.
I don’t really have a particular goal with this journey. I just want to be happy and I find I’m most happy when I’m making memories and new friends. I just happen to be the one with the camera.
