Nova, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s jump right into the heart of things. Outsiders often think businesses or industries have much larger profit margins than they actually do – the reason is that outsiders are often unaware of the biggest challenges to profitability in various industries – what’s the biggest challenge to profitability in your industry?

Honestly, I would say the biggest challenge is finding a unique niche, or identity in the spiritual communities. In an industry that is consistently, and steadily growing; it can be difficult to market, attract the right clients and even just get your name out there. Even if what you do is done by others, how can you make yourself stand out and get the recognition deserved? It’s a sad thing to see when so many truly skilled, educated and talented people get overlooked, or undercut because some other people don’t understand their full value and worth.

Nova, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Of course!

My name is Nova, I am a third generation Spiritual Medium, Bonecaster, Tarot Reader, Witch, Akashic Record Healer and Reiki Master Teacher. I’m blessed to have been born into and to have grown up around the exact things that I do for my career. Living with and around the supernatural, and spiritual side of things created an interesting life, which has allowed me to understand and provide healing or peoples bodies, minds and souls alike.

My goal is to provide my clients with guidance and understanding on the many trivialities of life, whether it be for understanding past lives, current issues with subjects like life, love, business finances and more.

I’m most proud of my recent journey on expanding my intuitive abilities through the ancient of of throwing bones. I’m fully planning on becoming an instructor, to continue on the lineage and powerful healing this type of divination can provide.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

For the first 8 years of my adult life, I had an entirely different career. I was an internationally published Hair & Makeup Artist, with a focus on high fashion. My work was mainly focused in NY, NY, having done work for majr designer runways, high end magazines, television and so much more. After 8 years of blood sweat and tears, I realized I was unhappy and needed to make a change, so I did. I finished my contracted positions, and quit. It was one of the best choices I ever made for myself. Doing what I do now brings me so much more happiness, satisfaction and joy by being able to help others.

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?

When I started on my current career I had nothing to my name, not even a single dollar. My entire journey started with a small loan of $30, so I could afford to purchase my first ever Tarot deck. That single deck has turned into an entire business, and has expanded so much farther than I ever imagined it would in the 5 years I have been doing this professionally.
