Noredia, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Looking back, do you think you started your business at the right time? Do you wish you had started sooner or later
If I could go back in time, I would have started my brand sooner. While I was in college, I had another brand that shifted a few times and it took me a bit of time to decide what I truly wanted to see and curate for my customers. After a few years, I took a step back from that brand. While looking to re-start in a different direction and my creative senses still going, I formally launched she knows the deal. There are times when I wish I had a certain insight or timeline that would have made things easier, but at the end of the day everything happens how it should.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am native to Maryland and a graduate of North Carolina Central University. During my time there I studied business and marketing/social media. That path led me through that same path in my post graduate career. I’ve always been crafty and an urge to create. The vision of she knows the deal is to create and curate unique finds that you’ll be sure to love. I am most proud of the sense of excitement that I see when people first discover my brand or see me at a pop up event. Those moments make it worth it and provides an urge to keep going.
Do you sell on your site, or do you use a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc?
I have sold via Etsy for years with both of my brands as well as utilizing Squarespace to create a customized experience. Etsy has allowed me to reach an audience that I may have not had otherwise.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
So far my biggest growth has been from in person markets/pop up events as well as referrals. It makes me feel amazing when someone I’ve helped or know refers me to assist their friend or family member with a service that I offer.
