We were lucky to catch up with Noelly Rodriguez recently and have shared our conversation below.
Noelly , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I knew when i was 6 years old and i stepped on my first stage in church my parents are singers an musicians so i knew this was my purpose.
Noelly , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Well, I first got into the music industry when my parents pushed me to be a performer. Specially, my dad because he was the one who pushed me to sing and myself at a young age and put me on stage. It was a church, and he actually was the first musician that I ever sang with. We fast forward to now or I’ve been groomed by not just my parents, but individuals like Alvin Colbert po beezy Stefon Washington and they molded me not to leave out Luis Fernandez as my producer who sparked the creative side of me to be able to become not a singer but a songwriter and a vocal coach in the studio and a performance coach. in my journey, I have traveled overseas to sing in front of thousands of people which is probably my biggest accomplishment and also to win best performer of the year in Orlando, and to be selected by my peers who was also an amazing experience. And honestly you would text me apart from everybody is that I genuinely just want everybody to win that I’m a leader that I want to reproduce myself and others that I want to see others level up even if it’s to a higher level than I am right now I’ve done my job and that’s what really set me apart.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding thing is that you get to touch peoples, lives through your music, and that to me is satisfaction itself that things that I have written out of experience are able to reach out to somebody and just give them a musical hug letting them know I’ve been there before you got this if I got through it, you can get through it toobecause we’re all human
Have you ever had to pivot?
Honestly, it Was when I was given the opportunity to tour in Italy is that right there took a pivotal point in my career and I finally realize man my voice is worth a lot My talent speaks volumes because it got me the opportunity to go overseas and that’s when I decided The price went up And now I have to be available for that as accessible, and I have earned the right to be more exclusive to where I’m doing bigger things still with the same humility, though.
