We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Noah Strykes. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Noah below.
Noah, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
I learned the craft of my various skills through repeated trial and error, being ok with failure, and trying to be as disciplined as possible. I know that no one is great at anything when they first start, and everyone has always started from zero. I think having a versatile mind is important to being an effective artist in general. There are so many skills involved with just one field of creative work. The more areas you can feel confident in, the better.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Noah Strykes and before anything I will call myself a creator. I started my creative journey with music when I was two years old. My mom got me a drum set and various other instruments over the course of my childhood. About eight years ago, I picked up a camera and learned the ins and outs of photography and filmmaking. During the first year of the pandemic, I taught myself digital music production, and rediscovered my passion for drums. I have done countless photo shoots, music video shoots, music productions, and overall creative projects for myself and clients alike.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I think my whole journey illustrates my resilience. I have yet to have a big break or moment of fame to capitalize off of. However, especially over the past eight years, I have continued to work as hard as I can in various fields of artistry. Spending so long learning what it means to be a creative overall has given me many valuable skill sets, and traits that I think will benefit me when my time comes.
