We were lucky to catch up with Noah Say recently and have shared our conversation below.
Noah, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
It’s as simple as this, I turned 35 and said I can’t work at a desk job forever. So I put together the name ProjectThirtyFive,
A little back story though, around 2015 I stared Kid Brooklyn. Just a clothing brand with really no life behind it. All I had some a couple designs and a lot of wasted money, but when looking back at that time which is 2015-2017 I learn how to screen print shirts, and how to source material….kinda, Which in this industry is crucial, sourcing quality shirt and products, and screen printing them yourself to get what you done correctly.
But back to ProjectThirtyFive, there are three main elements to the brand, A lifestyles if you will.
I was and still am heavy involved in photography. And wanted to bring my photos to light by putting them on shirts,
That’s one,
Photography.
And am also hip hop lover and love production. Making beats as biLLyPads
And that’s two.
Music.
And the third is rolling, some would call it blading…that’s right!
Aggressive rollerblading.
Been doing it since a child.
And with all three element combined it creates a lifestyle brand. Something kid Brooklyn really never had.
And I push those three hard with the designs I make, and to the crowd that buys the brand.
There’s a group I’m apart of and every First Sunday of the month you can find those three elements at the event.
Shout out to
Soul Grind Coffee
Banger Tacos
One Trick A Day
And Drailz.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
How I got into this space is passion. Passion for photography music and rolling.
What’s keep me here is drive.
Not only do I want to prove to myself that I can make something out of nothing, I have to show my kids it’s possible also.
It’s possible to make quality clothing in a rollerblading community again.
And that’s were I see my solving problems for people. Make clothing that isn’t going to fall apart on you after a few washes. Hats that last, look and feel good to wear. People who have bought from the brand know the quality we bring to the table, just come to a First Sunday event, or hit up the website www.ProjectThirtyfive.com try it on for yourself.
I’m really proud of what I’ve been able to make and bring to the people thus far. And I’m only one person doing it.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?
Funding a project is always fun…find the money!
Sometime I will have to go into the family money to fund a project and most of the time it pays off. A put the money back and the rest goes back into the brand.
Everything is independent. And I like to keep it that way.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Being yourself, if the people F with you then you’re doing something right. Don’t follow that treads, stay yourself.
