Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Noah Hernandez. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Noah, thanks for joining us today. What’s something crazy on unexpected that’s happened to you or your business
Starting a business is one thing. It’s full of unexpected twists and turns. Starting a ministry, however, is a whole different story. To start a ministry you obviously need the heart to serve. You need to come to the realization that everything in this life is fleeting and that you can’t take anything from this life when you die. Know that the only toil truly worthwhile is that of God.
Having turned 18 years old just a couple of days ago as this has been written, I realize how much responsibility I am stepping into. Having truly found who God is and the truth of the Gospel early last year in 2021, I’ve been on a wild journey. Walking with God is like nothing else in this world. It’s exciting and fun as well as challenging. It’s a battle every day once you step into spreading the gospel and fighting for the King of kings, but it is so worth it.
Every day little miracles happen. I get front row parking at the beach in the midst of a 20-car line, I am in the right spot at the right time to meet someone who needs prayer and see their physical, mental, and spiritual injuries leave. I’ve seen people be physically healed by the name of Jesus. I’m often left in awe looking back and seeing where God took me from and how he’s prepared me for where I am now in life.
Just recently God has given me a vision to start a ministry and I belive that God will be able to touch the hearts of his people in a way the world hasn’t been seen before through this ministry. So where am I starting?
Tik Tok – God told me to start Tik Tok and that I would begin to see the fruits of my labor after 30 days. The first two weeks were honestly discouraging. Getting almost no views or likes I almost started to question why God had me on Tik Tok. The beauty in this is that God was teaching me that it’s not about the likes or follower count, but it’s about being obedient to Jesus – and that is one of the best lessons I’ve learned up until this point in my walk with God.
Fast forward a little, overnight a few of the videos I had made blew up. I went from less than 200 views to thousands. Hundreds of people started following and my faithfulness was being rewarded before my eyes. It was truly humbling seeing how many people decided that I was worthy of following and that they could trust me to bring Truth to their lives. In the comments so many people have left their testimonies of how God has ministered to their hearts through an app and through a person, they’ve never met before!
The virtual gospel is just the first phase of 7 that God has shown me for this ministry and I’m so excited for what is to come. The moral of this story is that if you believe God is calling you to do something do it. It doesn’t matter how much fruit you think is being produced because you are always helping more people than you think. Plus it’s not about the fruit anyways, it’s about being obedient to Jesus.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I found God a little over a year ago. Now that I am 18 years old God is having me start a ministry. This ministry is starting with spreading the Gospel on social media platforms like Instagram, Tik Tok, Youtube, and through podcasts. As time goes on God has shown me that He will use this ministry for outreach events ministering to the homeless and eventually bringing the Gospel to every nation through global crusades.
Being fully surrendered to God and fully reliant on his faithfulness is sometimes difficult. There is a lot of patience required to bear eternal fruit but it is worth it every step of the way.
Establishing this ministry as a non-profit means that we are almost completely reliant on donations. If you are interested, please visit our website. If you are interested in supporting this movement of revival throughout the world you can do so through prayer, donations, or spreading the word. Each of these is equally as important.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Funny enough I cannot take any credit for anything I’ve accomplished or anything I will accomplish. It’s all a work of God. Everything that I have and will create is the fruit of being obedient to Jesus. Advice for anyone who feels called to create on social media?
Proverbs 16:9 – “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.”
Cultivate the vision you have and ask God how you can glorify Him through whatever it is you want to do. Come from a genuine heart of wanting to serve the Kingdom of God seeking first His righteousness and he will add all things unto it. Matthew 6:33
Be free from selfish ambition and pride. Humble yourself to allow God the opportunity to exalt you at the proper time. What you pursue in secret will be shown to everyone. Love Jesus and lay down your life. He will never let you down.
Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?
The Lord had led me to work at Chiptole for about 2 months before he gave me the vision for this ministry. I had earned exactly how much I needed to put together the podcast setup I now use to record and produce content. During my time at Chiptole, I was able to reach the hearts of my fellow employees and customers bringing the Gospel into the workplace.
About a month and a half into working at Chiptole, God told me my time was almost up. About a month later He told me to put in my two weeks as I was worshipping at church one night. The next day after wrestling with what I had heard God tell me. I went in to talk with my manager and put in my two weeks.
Stepping out completely in faith, I have exactly what I need now and I trust God will continue to provide what I need in order to advance the ministry He has given me to steward.
