We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Noah D’castellano. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Noah below.
Noah , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Are you happy as a creative professional? Do you sometimes wonder what it would be like to work for someone else?
We artists are also human beings. We grumble, we love, we feel, we blame, and we complain, but in spite of that, we work twice or maybe thrice as hard. This is because from a young age you became a source of money to help your family, as it happens to many of us. It may sound trashy, but eventually we understand that it’s a good thing for both you and your relatives.
I feel that as an actor-model and now fashion endorsement figure, I have no regrets about what I do, as I know that each of us who are already connected to the realm of artistic life (actors, models, singers, painters, and now Influencers or content creators) love what we do despite the problems or barriers we face throughout our careers.
In 2020-2021 I tried to connect my career with social media, put my life and what I do in the spotlight – But as I received criticism or unpopular opinions from many netizens, I reached a point where I was no longer myself, I was trying to appear something I was not, then I stepped away for a year, because I wanted to be an “ordinary or normal” person but I did not feel quite right with myself as I undertook and tried other actions and other projects that did not reflect what I as a person really liked to do.
In 2022 I decided to relaunch my career, use new outlets, learn more about the industry, accept partnerships with brands and take for granted everything that came my path, now in the entertainment field.
Noah , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
For those who do not know me, I want to be known for my authenticity, I want to establish my career as a good example to emulate, mainly for the young people of my generation, and those who are born after me, marking a milestone in my career as an actor-model and fashionista.
I have a commitment to give my all when I get an opportunity, whether in the field of acting or modeling, I know what I do, I’ve studied hard for it, I have acquired it with effort and enthusiasm.
So far I’ve been able to participate in prominent fashion events, whether public or private, I’ve also had the opportunity to do “shadower” with acquaintances who are casting for new films or Netflix series, which I’ve learned how my journey will be when making the decision to be the main actor, when I got an invitation to NYFW 2022 was a huge project with days of preparedness, interviews, dealing with new people from all over the world, a show that left me with a lot of teaching and more opportunities in my field.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
As an actor-model I assume the burden of projecting new characters that are not aligned with me and who I am, but that will be reflected in others who will watch that movie, film and shows, considering that we are all different and each one chooses a different personality, and seeing that someone else feels identified with what I work on, and enjoys it as much as I do, is very much valued by the spectators and fans.
Since lots of fans love you whether it is for your performance, your physical features, your way of thinking, your contribution to society, your kindness, even your irate and less sympathetic character, that is something extraordinary, as if they don’t love you for one thing, they look for a way to admire you with fondness and acceptance.
Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
Celebrities you saw on TV, at work, in a café, at school or even in the street, they all have their personal life too, don’t encroach on their presence believing that just because they are part of a character that was neither nice nor evil, then that person is like that, on the other hand, maybe he/she is, but it is very rare, always be careful to not attribute hate to a person just because you assume they are the version you saw on the other side of the screen, confirm, inform yourself, ask for advice, and if this doesn’t help you understand, then being a fan of actors, singers, models and athletes, that’s not for you.
