We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Noa Wolff. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Noa below.
Noa, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
I think I’ve always known that I wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally. As a little kid, I was telling everyone that I would grow up to be an actor (or a princess, haha). I was in theater classes and nothing made me happier. At a certain age, however, I realized how different this path I wanted to take was. All of a sudden, I started paying attention to others around me and decided I should go to a good school and get a ‘serious’ job. I was around the age of 12. So I went to a great high school that would get me into amazing universities, but at 15/16 I realized I still wanted to act and sing professionally. Luckily, I have extremely supportive parents. They were all for it and wanted me to do exactly what I wanted.
So, I did finish that school. To some people I said that it was a ‘back-up plan’, but I knew that it wasn’t. I’ve decided a long time ago that there will be no back-up plan for me, because any back-up plan will be ‘easier’ / more secure than going into the artistic field. And I didn’t want anything to tempt me away from my passion.
So even though I’ve had my doubts over the years and I almost took a completely different path, deep down I’ve always known this is what I was going to do. And I’ll never look back.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m an actress and singer-songwriter from the Netherlands, based in Los Angeles. I’ve always known this is what I wanted to do, so I took the leap of faith and moved to LA to give it my all. Ever since I moved, I’ve worked, studied, and done many things I’m proud of. I went to UCLAx and graduated in 2023 with the ‘Entertainment Studies’ certificate. I also graduated from Baron Brown Studio, an acting studio specialized in the Meisner technique. Since my graduation I’ve been working full time as an actor. I’ve done many short films, commercials and plays that I’m so grateful for. Each of them holds a little place in my heart.
Some projects that stand out to me are ‘Rosebud’, ‘Halfway’, Disneyland and Shark Hair Beauty. Two short films and two commercials I’ve done recently that I feel so lucky to have been a part of.
Many of my short films are going into film festivals right now, with the film ‘Halfway’ already having won an award. It’s such an exciting time and I can’t wait for what’s to come.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is helping others in ways you wouldn’t even think of. Being an artist is very vulnerable, you open yourself up to your audience. People have seen me on the screen crying, laughing, angry, sick, pretty, ugly, and much more. While filming and throughout the whole production process, I don’t know how the audience will respond. However, as soon as the audience actually sees it, it’s nerve-wracking to wait on their responses. So when the responses are actually positive, it means that it was all worth it and it feels so rewarding. One of my recent films. ‘Halfway’, was a very vulnerable story. After the premiere, someone came up to me and told me a private story on how watching my performance truly helped them with some personal things they’re going through. And that’s all I want. I want to help people and for people to relate to the story through my performance.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Somewhere in my career, I’ve decided to set little milestones for myself in stead of one particular goal or mission. The reason for this is that I’ve always thought: “but what if I reach that one particular goal? What then?” I want to keep thriving and keep having things to look forward to, no matter how many ‘goals’ I reach. So yes, I have little goals that I get very excited about reaching and I celebrate them! But I keep looking forward and working towards my next goal. My current goal is to book a feature film. But I think the thing that’s driving my creative journey is the love and passion I have for it. When I’m on set or writing music, I don’t feel like I’m ‘working’, I’m simply having fun. And that’s what I want to keep doing.
