Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to NNylari Iralynn. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
NNylari , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.
Back in 2009 I started my company and I named it T&I Accessories, LLC. My company has since evolved from just providing custom jewelry accessories to sew custom garments to now providing education and consulting services to individuals and other businesses. The name of my business has evolved to NNylari Iralynn, LLC. It was challenging at first to make the hard decision to transition my love for the arts into educating and consulting others but I was faced with health challenges back in 2022 that changed my life. I said I could never give up on my dream of making this world a better place one connection at a time so I made the decision to stay in business but alter the way I did my business so that It didn’t harm me physically. Back in 2004 I injured my spine in child birth which caused me to develop degenerative disc disease which also brought on other medical issues throughout the years and now leaving me limited to what I can do physically throughout my day. Just because my life circumstances have changed that doesn’t mean I was supposed to give up on what I love doing. I just had to find new ways to do it and I did. I used to sew a lot and create custom items for customers, now I educate the next generation on how to do what I used to be able to do physically, and consult in various industries of my choice. I just made the transition this year so it’s all very new to me. I still have a long way to go in developing this new style of business for me but I believe in myself and I know that what I have to offer is necessary for the next generation. Never give up on your dreams. Its all worth the risk and the journey.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
In 2009 I started this company and I was originally just creating custom jewelry for customers who wanted unique pieces. My company later became a brand and the name went from T&I Accessories, LLC to NNyari by NNylari Iralynn, LLC in 2015. I became the designer I always wanted to be. I began sewing custom pieces for various private clients and doing fashion shows. My last fashion show was in October 2024. I am most proud of taking the risk of even starting a business and doing the things that I love and sharing it with the world. I had a lot of fun in my years of creating and Im not done yet.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I have always been a hands on kind of creative person. I started out drawing and painting at the age of 5. My mother was a fashion designer and visual artist so I was always watching her create something and I wanted to do the same.. So my mother taught me every skill she had, sewing, drawing, painting and singing. Growing up was fun and filled with teaching moments. I like to say that my mother is the best teacher in the world. I have had many times when I had to shift to something new become okay with the new way of life but the biggest pivot in my business, career and life was when I finally had to accept that my chronic pain and chronic illness wasn’t getting any better and I had to make changes in my whole life before I made my issues worse. I was one of the hardest decisions I had to make because I had worked so hard to build the NNylari brand and now I had to shift and wear a different hat. I wondered how people would react to it, I wondered if it was all a waste of time and I wondered who I would be if I wasn’t creating of other people. But after much prayer and many tears I realized that I did the best that I could do with what I had and God allowed me to reach and tough so many lives with my company and gifts this far. This is only a segment of my journey. I have so much more to do in life and I my grateful for the impact I have made so far and Im ready to hit the ground running on this new journey.

Any advice for managing a team?
The best advice I can give for managing team and maintaining high morale is to always remain a servant. If your mind is always in a place of “how may I serve you” you can lead a team. Always stay in a place of humility and never raise yourself up, allow others to boast about how great of a person you are. Do the work right next to your team with compassion, understanding, patience, love, forgiveness and gentleness. Be the blessing someone’s never had. Give the same grace you would want someone to give you.
