We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Ninaa Londyn a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Ninaa thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you share an important lesson you learned in a prior job that’s helped you in your career afterwards?

I have learned many important lessons from my previous jobs. Having many years of experience in costumer service has given me the opportunity to meet and interact with different types of people. I implement this skill when I am Networking. Knowing how to communicate and connected with others has helped me excel in this industry.

Ninaa, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Who am I? I am Ninaa Londyn, Born in Haiti, grew up in south Florida. I moved to New York at 17 years old and have built my brand from the ground up. I am a model, Self-care / Mental Heath Content Creator. When I am not on set or the runway, I am using my social media platforms to educate our community on how self-care is needed for growth and health, also providing tips that one can practice when experiencing emotional instability. I want my platforms to be a safe place where others can come and never feel judge.

How did you build your audience on social media?

This could be a long story, or a short one. I have dedicated many hours researching and learning about how to grow my social media platforms. The first thing I did was find my niche. This will help you when you are planning the type of content you want to post. Once I discovered my niche, Planning my content came effortlessly to me. The next step was investing into my content gear to ensure that I create high quality content. Most importantly, we hear this all the time but it’s truly what makes a difference. You have to be consistent. I have videos on my YouTube channel (@IamNinaaLondyn) where I provide others with tips that can help them stay consistent. And also, don’t ever forget to be authentically you.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

Being a creative has many rewarding aspects, such as being able to see your vision come to life, but what’s most rewarding to me is that other woman who looks like me now has representation in the media. Many have shared their stories with me and how my content has inspired them to start their career in the fashion / social media industry.
