We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Nina Winters a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Nina, appreciate you joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
The topics of success and accomplishment are rather personal than universal. I have come to this realization amid a “very successful” legal career according to the majority’s view, which associates the success with a paycheck, a position in a company, a degree etc. To my biggest surprise, something that was supposed to feel like “success”, didn’t feel like it all. I followed the path that was carefully paved away for me by everyone else but me, not paying attention to anything that would not fit that standard of a successful accomplishment. It is then when I discovered Earl Nightingale’s recordings on success, which finally allowed me to see what I was missing all these years. “Success is a progressive realization of a worthy ideal”. It is a rather simple definition, yet so misunderstood. There is only one authority that can determine the worth of a goal or an idea, and it is oneself. We live in the time when society is highly regarded, and oneself is highly disregarded. We strive to reach the standards set by those who lived and walked before us, rarely questioning or undermining. And if that is what one prefers life to be, it is the success. The problem is that most people have no idea what they want. Looking back at my personal experience, answering this simple question requires more courage and honesty than one can imagine. Exploration of this topic is very uncomfortable, and if it’s done for the very first time, fear always follows, but that is when the success is initiated. When an idea of what you really want is born, it exists on the intellectual level. Once it reaches the spiritual level, the feeling of fear is inevitable because what you want is outside of your comfort zone. Most people get discouraged when they are going through this “terror barrier”, eventually coming back to the comfort zone, never accomplishing their goals, never living their dreams, never achieving success. Success exists on the other side of fear, so a strong will is absolutely necessary on the way to a big accomplishment.

Nina, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
When I first came up with an idea of establishing a brand, the concept was very simple, to create the world where creativity meets everyday life, and allows anyone to express themselves, their uniqueness via something regular like a sweater, a T-shirt or an accessory. DINELLO is a brand that specializes in unique, witty artwork designed to add a touch of personality and positivity to the apparel, accessories, and home decor. Each piece is crafted with a blend of humor and artistry, ensuring that YOU stand out with style. Whether you’re looking to make a statement with a bold t-shirt, accessorize with flair, or bring a playful vibe to your living space, DINELLO has you covered. Our brand’s mission is to promote and embrace the art of living with DINELLO’s distinctive designs.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
In the beginning of establishing the brand, I read a statement somewhere: “We are born original, but we die as a copy”. It made a great impression on me, and I had made a decision right then that I wanted to dedicate my work to promoting individuality. My brand’s mission is to elevate individuality through unique and witty artwork. I believe that everyone has a distinct personality and style, and my goal is to help people express that uniqueness in their everyday lives. Whether it’s through the apparel, accessories, or home decor, I strive to create pieces that resonate with the customers on a personal level. These designs are not just about aesthetics, even though they are exceptionally appealing. they are about making a statement and celebrating the diversity of human expression. By infusing humor and creativity into the products, I aim to inspire confidence and joy, encouraging everyone to embrace their true selves. At DINELLO, individuality isn’t just a concept—it’s a way of life.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
Several books have profoundly influenced my entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy, particularly those that delve into success, accomplishment, and neuroscience. Here are top three:
1. Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
2. Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself by Dr. Joe Dispenza
3. As a Man Thinketh by James Allen
