We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Nina Waldman a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Nina, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you recount a time when the advice you provided to a client was really spot on? (Please note this response is for education/entertainment purposes only and shouldn’t be construed as advice for the reader)
The best advice I can give any client?
It all starts with YOU!
If you’re not making time for your own health and wellness first, nothing else in your life can operate at 100%. Prioritizing self-care isn’t selfish, it’s essential.
You’ve heard the saying: “Happy wife, happy life,” right? But here’s the truth…whether you’re showing up for a partner, your family, or your work, you can’t give your best to anyone else if you haven’t taken care of number one first. That’s YOU.
One of the best things my mentor ever told me:
“Focus on feeling good over looking good. The rest will follow.”
So start doing the work on your energy, your breath, your body. Because when you feel good, everything else aligns.
Nina, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I’ve included the link to my bio. I’d love to let people know about my Wellness Retreats, too. The next one coming up is my, Zen In Zion retreat, September 4th – 7th. Here is the link to learn more about it, as well…

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
When I was 21, I had already built a successful career in real estate here in Las Vegas. Around that time, my husband was offered the opportunity to play professional basketball overseas.
With an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to create something meaningful while living abroad, I took a leap. I asked myself: What do I love? What lights me up?
The answer was clear—helping people, staying active, and building something of my own. So, I got certified in personal training and Pilates, and soon after, I opened my very first Body In Mind Pilates Studio… in a brand-new country!
If I can do it, so can you. All it takes is passion, purpose, and the willingness to start.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I believe decades of showing up with consistency and genuine intention have built my reputation in this industry.
Also, creating my own program, Bootylates, was born from a desire to help people stay committed to their wellness, no matter where life takes them. Whether they’re traveling, at home, or can’t make it to a studio, I wanted to remove the excuses and make it easy to keep moving, eat well, stretch, and stay grounded through meditation.
More than a workout, it’s a reflection of how deeply I care about people’s health, longevity, and overall well-being.
