Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nina Sottile. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Nina , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?

My whole life I’ve always felt I was here for a purpose even before I grew in my faith. I was inspired by the beauty of nature in my youth and grew to love design. Designing the places I lived and wanting to make people feel their most beautiful because when I felt my most beautiful I believed it radiated through me. After highschool I enrolled in cosmetology and gravitated more towards the transformations, hair and make up. Enhancing beauty was my thing. It was an escape from whatever I was going through in life. Gave me a reprieve. I got married early in my life and had two beautiful daughters. I took some time off from my career to raise them, but always continued my education and kept up my license. I knew I would be back at it again one day. Those days being married were extremely dark, stressful and difficult. Constantly feeling I needed to shelter my daughters from what really was happening. When your body is under extreme pressure and stress sickness can happen. When I was 10 years old I was bitten by a tick. Thankfully we figured it out fast enough to make me “ better” but under severe stress it came back . Through divorce, reading, and wanting to heal. I was able to find amazing practitioners, holistic pharmacists and extremely knowledgeable people to work with me. The healing journey awakens . At the time I was freelancing doing facials and semi permanent cosmetics and came across a job offer at the natural pharmacy and that’s the beginning of Sobella beauty. This wonderful place taught me how herbs heal, wellness is what matters and the differences between conventional and non conventional medicine. I also learned how no one is made the same, and there is a root cause to every sickness on this earth. I started to heal myself and wanted to be able to help people understand this way of life too. In my business I offer toxic free products, holistic skincare and a toxic free safe environment to talk about health and wellness. What I’m most passionate about is explaining how toxic anything can harm you, people, places and things and sickness can be healed. I want to be able to assure people that there is products and people you can trust. If I can make someone feel beautiful, give them the space to relax and let go, help guide them to clean healing skincare I’ve done my job on this earth .

Hi my name is Nina Sottile and I’ve been in the beauty industry since 2002. I’m a holistic esthetician. What makes me different from the rest is the ingredients used in all my products . Everything is from nature with no toxic ingredients. So for the many people who suffer from autoimmune diseases or super sensitive can feel safe knowing the products are clean. Free from gluten, dairy, soy, hormones and GMO’s

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?

I pivoted in my career when the pharmacy closed. I had to branch off on my own. The pharmacy had already had a clientele that I was familiar with but it wasn’t a guarantee that they would follow me wherever I ended up. I believed in the products and having Laurie behind me still allowing me to sell them for her was such a blessing. I had to make that jump. I did have clients following me and lost some, but you must believe in yourself, build it and they will follow.

Can you talk to us about how you funded your business?

I had to take out a first time business loan to help me pay off my educational classes and give me the extras I needed to get started. Having good credit is essential. That helped me tremendously. Paying it off on time was so beneficial as well.
