We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Nikyla Maria a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Nikyla, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?

I walked away from my career as a school administrator. I worked as a Summer School Principal and Dean of Students. I was an only parent of 2 small kids and I left something solid and stable to pursue my dreams. I had a deep desire to help people and create change in the world. I thought I could do that in the education system but without deep systemic change I realized my voice wouldn’t be heard. Overcoming a lot of trauma from my childhood and first marriage and surviving cancer left me with passion and inspiration to create something beautiful out of my pain. So I began working with Domestic Violence survivors and single moms. My work transformed into an online business as a Life Coach, 3 years later I created the 1st Internationally Credited Healing School and we served students from all over the world. I retired the school in 2021 and published the Inner Child Oracle Cards and Guidebook. I started working with leading edge creative and hop hop artists on Self_Mastery and Inner Child Work, speaking on stages and hosting 11 luxury retreats all over the world. My business now consists of writing, speaking, and mentoring individuals on a 1:1 basis. When I decided to walk away from something stable everyone told me I was making a mistake, they were nervous for both my kids and me but I had to follow my heart. It was terrifying and there have been many obstacles along the way but I am so glad I did it.

Nikyla, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I guide others as a Self-Mastery & Inner Child Expert, a Divine Channel and well-known writer and speaker. I created the Inner Child Oracle Cards and my classes and teachings have been used all over the world. I use my over 15 years experience in leadership, education, trauma healing, and energy blueprints to lead creatives, thought leaders and stars who are at the cutting edge of their industry into their next level using high-performance tools, master mindset strategies, and individualized mentorship. I am truly honored to mentor individual into their highest calling as we create the New Earth together.

Aside from my master’s degree in educational leadership I am also certified Master Healer, Trauma Trained IFS Expert, and Licensed Holistic Practitioner. I am a master of my craft and love watching my clients and community open up to themSelves and remember all that they are.

More than anything I desire that each and every person on the Earth feels worthy of the Love and Support available to them at all times. It’s from there, anything is possible.

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?

I believe the world goes full circle, meaning as you invest in yourSelf you invest in the world and as you invest in others you invest in yourSelf. You can invest in a lot of ways, of course you can invest monetarily by buy products and services, but you can invest in a lot of totally free and meaningful ways too. Sharing a creatives work, engaging on social media, telling others about their work, listening to podcast or recordings, and even just letting them know you appreciate what they are doing. As we invest in the little ways we make a big impact and you never know when a creative really needs to feel supported in their craft.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

My biggest desire is to break patterns and programing in the world that create the idea of suffering. I truly believe that each and every being on Earth deserves to experience lasting pleasure, ease, connection and wealth in this lifetime. I also know that it is the mind that most often get’s in the way of that, Creating ideas of separation and judgement that cause isolations and suffering. When we can learn as a society to move in alignment with our highest self by regulating our nervous system, standing in our sovereignty and living from a place of heart-centered compassion for ourSelves and others, everything will change. It’s my mission to guide as many individuals to the remembering of their own soul’s essence so they can experience peace and alignment each and every day.
