We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Nikki Serenity. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Nikki below.
Nikki, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
I wanted to be a model since before high school but I never really imagined getting to where I am today. I used to go clothes shopping and pose in the mirror and I would feel my self esteem skyrocket. I had a friend who was a model and she told me to make a Model Mayhem account which is how I found my first few photographers. Then I made a modeling Facebook account, networked like crazy, and it all just kept getting better from there.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Modeling takes a lot of resilience. I’ve dealt with sexual assault, scammers, bullies, potential sex traffickers, judgement, rejection, and much more through this line of work. People have no idea how much hard work it takes and how much models have to deal with. No matter the struggles, I power through it and keep doing what I do. I won’t let other people hold me back from doing what I love. It can get really discouraging at times, and I’ve even considered quitting. I’m so glad I didn’t quit when I was tempted to.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Honestly, social media. Facebook, Instagram, and even Model Mayhem are the main places I find work. Networking is everything, and I think anyone in this industry should be building their social media presence.
