We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Nikki Myers. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Nikki below.
Alright, Nikki thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
When I started my journey as a Podcaster, I started with my voice. I wanted to unleash my inner voice on a positive level. Being a Podcaster has allowed me to find my voice and allow people to see me for who I am. It did not take long for me to realize my purpose was to help other people, shine the light on great people, and connect people to people so we all can win. I was finally walking in my purpose and experiencing freedom for the first time. My voice finally mattered to someone. My voice was finally being heard. My voice was changing the world. No more being silent, instead I was breaking the silence. The more I talked, the more my mission became obvious. After being a Podcaster for almost a year, I can finally say I am truly FREE.
Nikki, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a person who wears many hats and possess many talents from being an Author, Podcaster, Graphic Designer, Life Coach, Motivational Speaker, Photographer and Poet. When I became a Podcaster, all of the talents that were buried inside of me started to fall out. Through podcasting, I have given people a safe place to tell their stories and celebrate them at the same time. Although this journey has been challenging at times, it has been rewarding in may ways. When I see someone win because of my actions, I feel as if my mission has been solidified. I would like for my fans, followers, and potential clients to know my platform is for everyone. I know what it is like to not have a voice and my platform gives them a place to celebrate and share their stories.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding part about being a Podcaster is utilizing my voice to help others, giving them a safe space to tell their stories, shining the light on their accomplishments and sharing it with the world. The conversations do not stop with the interview, I continue to pour into my guests on their journeys and celebrate their successes.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
When I began my journey as a Full-Time Podcaster, I thought everything would be easier because I now had the time to do things but that mindset changed quickly. Finally I had freedom to be free to speak on the mic, but I did not realize the work I had to put into it. You will have some days when you do not feel well and days when you do not feel like doing anything, but regardless of what type of day it is you have to keep going. Full-time podcasting taught me to be strong even when I was weak. It taught me to keep going even when i felt like giving up. It taught me to ignore the outside noise and speak life into myself. It taught me to stand when I felt like falling down.
