We recently connected with Nikki Mack and have shared our conversation below.
Nikki , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Pretty Little Life Coaching LLC was founded in 2021 in response to the emotional stress and tough times lots of people were experiencing at the height of a global pandemic. We are 5 women from all walks of life with specialties in business mentoring, relationship coaching, spiritual coaching, mindfulness, family issues and women’s empowerment. Our Vision is to build a world, where everyone becomes the best version of themselves. We strive to become one of the leading coaching brands in Texas all while inspiring and nurturing individuals to stand in their power. Our Mission is to equip individuals with the skills and mindset they need to succeed and help them see how Breakdowns create Breakthroughs. We are committed to helping you find greater Peace, Love, Power, and Freedom.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
What made me become a life coach you asked? The simple answer is my own personal issues and overcoming them. When I tell you I’ve seen it all and been through most that’s an understatement. My earlier life was filled with so much trauma, animosity, anger and resentment. Learning how to come out of it all and position myself for a better life was one of my hardest struggles. Being an overcomer is what led me to birth Pretty Little Life Coaching LLC and become a certified Relationship Coach. When you’ve been in the wrong relationship and marriage you’ve learned what the right one look and feels like. My expertise includes premarital and marital coaching as well as women’s empowerment. The specialties of my team include spiritual coaching, ADHD/Cognitive Behavioral Coaching, Business Mentoring and Family & Teen Development Coaching.
I launched the business in 2021 on a dream and a prayer and it’s nothing but God that it has grown into the force it is today. The thing that sets us apart is that we don’t offer your traditional coaching. This is a safe, non-judgmental zone where you can let your hair down and feel free to be free. We want our clients to know that we are wives, sisters, daughters, mothers and friends first, then coaches.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I like to be transparent and let everyone know that starting a business and being a serial entrepreneur is not for the weak. Starting this business has definitely been one of my strongest lessons. I have been tested financially, emotionally and mentally. There were so many days I felt like giving up and throwing in the towel but in those moments, I heard a voice that said KEEP GOING. This voice has still been with me till this day. I’m here to tell you that giving up is the easiest way out. I encourage each of you to PUSH and CHALLENGE yourself daily. Youd be surprised to see what’s on the other side of that obstacle, but you will never know unless you follow through. My resilience taught me that I have to ultimately make the decision in my life to cope or crumble. If I choose the path of cope there will be a lot of valuable lessons taught and learned but if I crumble, I only become weaker and live in the unknown. What decision will you make today?
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
The lesson I had to unlearn was that failure is the opposite of success. I don’t believe this now, but it took a while to get here. I grew up thinking that when I fail at something its horrible, its bad or not good. Now that I’m much older and a little wiser I know that failure is not a bad thing. It’s room for growth, its honesty/transparency, it’s saying I need help and its showing grit. Your failure is a part of the success. It ends up being your testimony, the story behind you and your reason to keep pressing forward. I don’t think I would be as successful as I am today without the failure.
