We recently connected with Nikki Bruno and have shared our conversation below.

Nikki , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What was your school or training experience like? Share an anecdote or two that you feel illustrate important aspects or the overall nature of your schooling/training experience.

I went to school in Berkeley at Bauman College for Holistic Nutrition .The school experience was great and loved the teachers there . But I look back and am amazed on how i got it done. At the time I was working 2 jobs and raising kids. I think that pushed me hard and made me more determined to finish.

Nikki , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My name is Nikki and grew up in Northern California. I became interested in modeling when i was a teenager. My sisters friend needed a subject for a school project and was interested ever since. But I didn’t really get started into modeling and events until i was 18-19 .
My mother said i would never make money modeling and that i should choose a different career.
Me being the rebel i just wanted me to prover her wrong!

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

After having children had me take a break from modeling, acting and doing events. I knew I always wanted to get back into it but thought i would never have time or now being a new Mom i should give up on trying. But i got myself back on a healthy lifestyle and started working out more and began networking with photographers and event companies. I think that all i needed was a little boost of confidence,

Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?

I definitley think an important one would be knowing your value ,knowing what you want out of it and your goals. In the modeling industry there are so many categories and paths you can go. You just have to have a goal and set boundries.
